I lost my 50mil gil after putting a bid

So idk where to post this, since i did try to contact support but they say they couldn't help me cuzz its not something they do and they told me to use forum instead so yeah please help me.

so i bid a large house before my sub died on January 3rd 2024,
days later i heard from a friend who bid the same house (for FC purposes) that we lost the bid. but i couldn't go back to resub the game due to family matters i had to stop playing the game for 3 months until yesterday. when i resub and log back in, i remember i had to take my money back from the bid i lost, but only to find out that the refund got expire 90 days after the announcement.

i think its unfortunate that i lost my money through my 3 years of playiung the game, just because i had irl problem that prevent me from resubbing the game.

i hope that the dev could help me to get my 50 mil back because, that was pure hard work right there :') thankyou...

ive heard they might give you back one lost item, one time only, but im not sure if they do something like that for lost housing bids.
hoping you the best, but personally i would prepare for the worst case scenario, too.

Yeah well my friend (the one who bid with me) said they would give me 50mil cuzz it was em who asked me to help them to bid on the large house :')

2 important lessons from this:
IRL goes before the game, it always does. Dont care about lost gil if IRL calls for it. Gil is (easily) replacable. Some people might be offended by it, but truly: its only a game.
Dont bid on a house when your sub is close to ending if you cant ensure to come online. Im not sure if the warning upon bidding does tell it, but its worth to note anyway.

I hope your personal issues are fully resolved now though.

(and yes, some people might have the game as primary connection towards some friends. but if they are such big friends, you probably have discord or anything that you can use to keep contact)

It does give you some form of warning. It probably is something close to the one you get about your furniture if you happen to log in after your house got claimed by the auto demolisher. That you have X number of days to reclaim your items or in this case gil before it becomes lost forever. I'm not even sure they would allow the OP to use their one time restore for gil. The only time I can ever think of them doing something like that is when they do a character roll back when someone has shown enough proof that their character had been hacked. Even then I've heard stories about those not being 100% satisfactory.

and yea i dont remember if the game tells your if the refund will ever expire or not, all i remember is that it will give your money back if you lost the lottery.

and about my personal stuffs, its fine now thankyou for those who were worried, and its nbot like i sub to ff because i have big close friends or any, i play cuzz i just like playing the game (i mostly play solo)

and the friend who i bid the house on told me we lost the bid around january 4th 2024, i bid on the house on december 24th 2023 and idk when is the announcement for the result, as my sub died on january 3rd 2024, so i never really bother on knowing it much, since all i understand that if u lost the lotery, they will refund it to you

unfortunately they do have a time length for ur refund to go expire

Sadly, you aren't going to get this back. I found the patch notes from when they added the lottery system and it's clear as day there. Although I agree it should be stated clearly in game.

"Refunds of the deposit made at entry will expire 90 days (Earth time) after the results period ends. Please be sure to accept your refund within this allotted time by accessing the same placard by which you entered the lottery.

The only way to get it back is through the one time item restoration ticket. But you can only use it once per account so use it wisely.

I had the same thing happened to me. Due to irl my house got demolished. I had spent so much time and effort ecorating it. Of couse at first I had regrets but I realized theres nothing I could have done when irl called for it.

So what exactly would you have done if you had won the bid? You would have lost out on the 50 million either way.
