My big takeaway is that I like the motifs themselves, so I think I'll enjoy boss themes and ambient music using them. The song itself is just fine. I'm personally more a fan of the old orchestral themes + Susan for xpac themes.

Koji is a creep in the music video
For expansion trailer songs: ShB > HW > SB > EW > DT
Heavensward, Shadowbringers and Endwalker all had incredible main songs, this is ..very bland. This isn't going to be the main theme for the entire expansion is it..? Half of the song felt like I was back in high school trying to learn guitar riffs on my electric. It has it's place, but it doesn't fit the theme of the expansion imo.

It's too messy taken all together, reminds me of a kid being allowed to choose his birthday cake and requesting two different cake layers with 2+ types of frosting and possibly other things like jellybeans sprinkled all over. Mostly I like the PCT part. It has the flavor of new adventure, but goes for more "mystical/optimism" as opposed to "hip/hype" like the intro.
The iteration from the original teaser trailer sounds much clearer. The recent version just has too much superfluous sounds and voice effects going on and it drowns out the theme. It's such a stark contrast.

I've rarely been a big fan of trailer songs past Shadowbringers. HW and SB were essentially themes written by Uematsu so it's not even comparable, and the following expansion themes take most of their greatness in the actual declinations and leitmotivs they get throughout the story.
First trailer song that's gotten worse every time they add something to it. It's not even that the 3 disparate parts are bad! I like the rock bit, the guitar bit, and the dance bit all individually quite a bit, but the transitions are so rough every single time. Also, the bit at 43 seconds into the full trailer is so very much worse than it was in the original. I loved the original DT trailer though, I watched it a bunch just to hear the song.
I am right there with you! Nothing can replace those feelings ever it was amazing. As a Legacy player, nothing will ever beat Answers. Racing into Cartenaeu, fighting Garleans with Dalamud hanging over your head while fighting the dying servers. Only to have the screen go black and Answers play for the first time with the End of an Era trailer. Yeah, nothing, absolutely nothing will ever beat that. Heavensward was amazing, Shadowbrinings theme was in my head for literally months...
Honestly, DT's theme is just a lil tune I would turn down when it comes on the radio. This is the first trailer and song I haven't listened to or watched again after the first viewing at fantest. Without any real direction or drama in the game these days and the scions (again...sigh) just acting silly in the trailer, it makes it all feel empty.
I loved all the other expac songs apart from this..glad I am not alone. I find the vocal nasally chaotic and it has no direction at all..it just does not work. It is the only trailer I have not replayed at all.
Probably the only song I despise in the entire game, sounds like a stuffy nose mixed with constipation.
Twitter, YouTube, and Reddit all love it like it's the greatest thing ever, but I'm not too fond of the song. I don't know what kind of vision they were going for but it keeps making me think of Leviathan Extreme when I hear it. Lately, SE has been using the trailer themes in some sort of final battle for the expansion and I can't envision this song making a good final battle.
