XVI crossover event rewards question

So, I've already done and enjoyed the XVI crossover event. I got the mount, minion, and outfit for completing the quest, and then went to the Gold Saucer to get the TT card and the orchestrion rolls.

But I noticed that there was no special vendor like with the XV crossover event. You just buy the card from the Triple Triad vendor (where I noticed you can also buy the Noctis card,) and you get the 10 orchestrion rolls from the normal Prize Attendant, from the Prize Exchange IV option.

So my question is, are the MGP rewards going to stop being available after the event? You have to have cleared the event to be able to buy them, but if you've cleared it and the event ends will you no longer be able to get them if you haven't bought them yet? Or will the game remember you finished the quest and still have them purchasable even after the event is over?

On the one hand, it seems like since the stuff just got added to normal vendors that it might just be part of the new stock for now. But on the other hand, the orchestrion rolls still go into the Seasonal category. I'm used to things just being completely gone once an event ends, but I'm also used to seeing special vendors for event items.

I tried looking it up but couldn't find confirmation one way or the other. And I'm obviously going to try and get the MGP with as many of my alts as I can, but knowing I could grind out the millions of MGP I need for all my alts at my own pace as opposed to needing to do it within about a month would be welcome news. So I just figured I'd post about it here to see if anyone knew for certain one way or the other, or if SE had mentioned anything about why there's no special vendor this time, etc.

If it's anything like the XIII and XV events, the rewards probably will be gone once the event is over.

IIRC for the FF15 event, completing the questline meant having the vendor permanently having the mount in stock, even after the event ended, so I'd assume the orch rolls/triple triad card would remain on the vendor as long as you got the achievement from doing the quest

Now, the real question re: FF16 event rewards is this travesty



This is, once again, just another case of 'just let Viera/Hroth have hats/hair with clipping issues and let the players work around it', and/or 'let us hide the stupid MCH lunchbox'

I'm going to keep looking and see if I can find anything definitive, and if I do I'll bring it up again.

I don't remember the XIII event (I don't think I was playing during that time,) but the XV event had its own vendor for the XV crossover stuff, which is why I started to wonder when the XVI rewards were just added into the base game. I'm going to be acting as if they're going to be gone when the event's over until I hear SE say differently, but this is the first time I recall them just adding seasonal event rewards to normal vendors so it feels like maybe it's different than a normal event. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't be questioning it at all.

As for the Regalia, I don't think you can get it right now even if you've done the quest? Since it was added to a special Garland Ironworks vendor that was added to the Gold Saucer for the event, but when the event was over they went away. I could be wrong, but I actually had an alt that didn't get the Regalia last time from not having enough MGP, and I didn't get it on them until the event happened again this latest time.

It just seems like conflicting precedent. On the one hand, seasonal event items aren't usually earnable in game after the event (though I think there's a vendor that still lets you turn in any seasonal currency you had left over for rewards still, and I know the Noctis card is just in the Triple Triad Trader's inventory now.) But on the other hand, they don't normally just remove items from a normal vendor either (with exceptions like when the item is essentially removed from the game like belts.) I could see it either way, and would just appreciate some clarification from someone at Square Enix.

I think they'll stay as they've been added to NPCs that aren't event related.

Actually the Noctis card cost the same as the Clive card, both cost 200k MGP.

Note the limited time ironworks NPC had the noctis card at 20k MGP a 180k MGP discount.

I’m betting at least the traid card will remain after event ends

TT Card is purchased at the Triple Triad Trader at Gold Saucer (listed under Noctis')
Orch Rolls are sold by Gold Saucer Attendant (same counter), Prize IV, 20k each.

The fact that the event rewards got added to an already existing, standard vendor is what confuses me about it though. If there was a special vendor that only showed up in the gold saucer for this event, there would be no question that once the event was over you wouldn't be able to buy the TT card or the orchestrion rolls anymore. But this time they were just added in.

I don't recall there ever being an event that added the rewards to a normal vendor. So when the event is over and the vendor doesn't go away, do the rewards just leave his shop? Or will they be purchasable by anyone that completed the quest but didn't manage to get enough MGP during the event? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Still haven't seen anything about it from SE, so it's still just speculation and looking online for right now while I do the MGP grinds.
