    Rokien's new thread on Open World.

    I think I can speak for every open world lover, we are losing hope, is there anything you can tell/give us? We need something to keep us going, all these instances are wearing on us(us being the open world lovers). I know the poll says "you guys picked instanced" well, that poll was obscured because of the battle content that was also included in it. So, this is me begging for some info about anything cool open world. Something new that isn't in the pdf, something that I can drool over and squeal like a little girl.

    So yoshi, can you give us anything? I think a lot of our patients are wearing thin. Especially with this latest patch... reasons I don't think I have to mention.

    Ps. Please don't use quest-chaining for our open world content. Quest-chaining is the worst ever.

    Also, any new clever thread titles that you guys can give me would be awesome. I'm only using this one as a joke, because my friend Lyndis got banned from the forums for a day with this thread title(not the reason why she got banned).

    2.0. New servers should resolve the issue and more content might be "open world"

    you are then asking the impossible as none of us are privy to that information and I doubt SE is gonna let much more slip than they already did. I think we just have to accept that outside strongholds we are gonna be looking at instanced content.

    The last thing I wanna hear is graphical limitations... We already know!

    I'm with the OP on this one... we need more open world stuff, it's a good balance (and something different) than doing all this instanced stuff.

    I used to be an "Open Worlder" like you guys, but I think I fail to see the difference in the two at this point. Everything can be mimicked in an instance just about that can be done in open world, the only element that is being taken out of the equation is having to deal with 100 other ass hats who want to do the same thing as you at that exact time. Though some content I can understand being open world but end game content I don't really see a point, minus some new HNM type mobs though if it ever became similar to FFXI style HNM I would lose all interest. Mainly due to being the only possible way to have a chance to get a claim on an HNM you had to pass some dude $2500 RL for a super claim bot with packet sniffers to be able to claim the mob before it even visually spawned. Though I have a feeling the PvP is going to have it's own zone or zoned area designated for open world garrison buster feel.

    Open world content revolves around a lot things. It makes the world feel more alive seeing people in the open world actually fighting and watching linkshells/guilds fighting hard HNMs..you know, making a world feel alive, something people want?

    Throwing everything into a closed off area of the game doesn't make an MMO feel alive, this is exactly why GW2 isn't like GW1, they realized an instanced sandbox doesn't make an MMO.
