I would like an ingame notepad feature :O

Whatever notepad the devs would add to the game isn't going to be as good as whatever notepad you use outside of the game. Spending time on this instead of other things would be time wasted.

How a notepad can be even 'not as good'? It's just a place to write text. Even the basic windows notepad is extremely barebones, you can't get more basic than that, and that's exactly the suggestion. To have one ingame so we don't have to alt tab to do it, especially when you could have the feature pinned somewhere. Imagine if I alt tabbed to check my raid notes on the fly lol.

I feel like the power of an in-game note pad is being underestimated. It could provide more than just a page to write text. Items could be linked on a page, map flags could be linked on a page, crafting recipes could be linked on a page. alarms could be activated from a page, etc. A lot more game specific features than just Word or Notepad apps.

Being able to store item and map links would be pretty neat. That would be a reason to use an ingame notepad over an external.

If you play from the steam version you can open the steam interface wich has a note-pad built in

Regardless, as someone who uses the steam notepad, I believe having the feature baked in-game for all platforms would be a nice QoL improvement, its one of those "I didn't know I needed it untill now!" kind of updates for most people

I would love this feature. Even on pc, having things put together that you can access inside the same GUI/active screen just feels better also. Upvote for this request from me~~

Is it really that arduous to just tab out and open notepad?

It could be more useful for console players than PC really, but it's still a nice QoL idea.
