I would like an ingame notepad feature :O

It would be very nice if we could have a Notepad inside the game.

eg. you do a /note and a window pops up, and you can add notes to it that would be saved in a local text file.

Information and the likes and small notes you would like to keep track on, would be nice if you could just pull it out and note down stuff, that you would like to be able to remember or able to pull up.

If you have open macro slots that would probably work great for this. Each macro has 15 lines worth of text, and you get 100 slots per character, and 100 global slots as well.

Yeah, they could. And if they did I think that would be awesome. But in the likely case that they don't, the option I described above can be used in the game as we speak. Sometimes when you don't get what you want, you have to be scrappy and find other ways to make the best of things.

Though that reminds me, as someone who doesn't have any free macro slots to devote to such things, another possibility would be to use that feature I never hear anyone talk about...what's it called again...? I literally can't remember. That thing where you can make in-game chat boards, those could probably also be leveraged for notes. Probably some advantages compared to macros and some disadvantages, depending on exactly what your use cases are. So that's another possible solution if CBU3 doesn't make a genuine notes feature.

That would be super useful if the window could be persistent.

When I'm doing high end duties I constantly have post-its glued to the sides of my monitor to remind me of clockspot, partner, Limit Cut sequence, etc.

Roleplayers would also find this tool really useful to pre-write stuff before is their turn to post. Paragraph RP tends to take quite a while to go.

I do use macros as the next best thing, but they are very limiting.

It would also be nice to be able to add a tracker of how many items you need to collect for something.

I would love a feature like this, particularly if you could pin the notes to your HUD. It would pair nicely with the in-game raid planner thing they are rolling out.

I used to use a sticky note app that allowed you to place always-on-top windows with notes so that I could easily see notes during progression, and it was VERY useful.
