Black Mage would become one of the most played jobs again.

Spamming Fire is easy. And easy is popular.

ARR BLM was pretty easy, yeah but HW BLM very much wasn't. Current BLM is easier than HW BLM.
But uh, 1.2 (or was it 1.15) BLM is. . .not even ARR BLM. Or even close to ARR BLM. I don't think anyone who joined XIV as of ARR would even know what a rotation is looking at pre-ARR casters.
