What if every job was like how it started?

Vague title so I'll elaborate: What if every job we have in the game was suddenly the same as how it was first introduced to 14? How different would the game be? This will not include cross-class stuff being accessible.
Got curious as I am crafting something behind the scenes to post about later and got this question

I love the men in this game

I finally return to the game! Current goal: getting all my jobs to 90

Mao can give Mao opinion with regards to BLMs. Without speedups Mao gots going to 80 and then later to 90, is no way Mao would has survived EW. EW fights need WAY more mobility than can be had by vanilla BLMs.

Early jobs would be boring, with kits filled with useless buttons and a very dull rotation. Because of that, most people would gravitate towards the newer jobs as they feel more complete and better to play.

Like story wise or gameplay wise? Because I loved the GLD story. And then Samurai started in the same location and became my main class. I'd love to spill blood on the sands again.

Stop killing gods, voidsent, and dragons. Return to Colosseum.

Edit: Oh yeah you mean gameplay. Well even taking out cross class skills would love to see the jobs requiring two classes again. It makes you learn another role. As someone who tanked for a long time I learned more about the limitations- and strengths- of healers having to level another class. Likewise I learned that I *actually like playing DPS* when I had to level DPS roles.

GLA having to level shield as SEN seperately... and spamming Red Lotus and Goring Blade.... joy.

I'm talking about original original GLA by the way (1.0 launch GLA).

It... was a much different time then.

Black Mage would become one of the most played jobs again.

Spamming Fire is easy. And easy is popular.

It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

ARR BLM was pretty easy, yeah but HW BLM very much wasn't. Current BLM is easier than HW BLM.
But uh, 1.2 (or was it 1.15) BLM is. . .not even ARR BLM. Or even close to ARR BLM. I don't think anyone who joined XIV as of ARR would even know what a rotation is looking at pre-ARR casters.

We may have a SMN that is actually summoning but none of the smoothbrain rotation it currently has

SCH reaching up to 12 aetherflow stacks and more pet abilities and by now, we have a Selene vs Eos cult

PLD still spamming Flash to this day while WAR has become a red tank

Scholar would come back to the game in almost the best state it’s ever been in. It’d be missing some key needed adjustments like Indom, Deployment, and Expedient. Selene would be back but would also be basically useless, although the Skill/Spell speed buffs would probably actually have an impact given how high our stats are numerically. That said, it would also be disliked by a lot of especially modern jobs that don’t want to attack faster.

Assuming the job is adapting to modern system changes like not needing accuracy, DPS scaling off MND, MP costs adapting to the modern MP system, pets not having HP bars, and you’d just need a few adjustments to make it massively superior to the imposter we have now.

Give it Indom, Recitation, and Deployment. Adjust the potencies of DPS actions to meet modern expectations, making sure to keep Ruin and Ruin II as having the same potency like in ARR. Rework Selene so that Silent Dusk was perhaps a damage reduction debuff and a silence, and she had Fey Caress as an AOE Esuna and Fey Wind was Expedient instead of the skill/spell speed buffs, and you’d have a really well balanced pair of pets.

Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.
