    Suggested features list

Hey all, I've enjoyed FFXIV for quite some time. I enjoy several aspects of the game but am by no means a pro. So keep that in mind as I make a few suggestions that I liked the sound of.

    Combat:
As Yoshi P has said the combat can get tedious. I think what could be a simple fix would be a numbers game.
Make combat a slight bit deadlier, but increase rewards for good gameplay decisions. Perhaps make the positionals more impactful. Granted I'm not sure of what all positionals exist so my point may be moot, but I think in a lot of content it doesn't matter that you are in the correct position so long as the attack lands. Give them a good boost so that a good player reaps better benefits.

    Limit Gauge suggestion
Limit Gauge barely gets used in most content. Most people let it build and don't use it. Individualize the Limit Gauge so that everyone has their own gauge and can get the benefit on their own. Also give more options to use said gauge. For example in FF9 trance could trigger. Giving your character boosts to stats and altering some moves and animations. I think it would be cool to give each role or class more ideally their own unique set of actions and stat boosts based around the limit gauge. This would give more varied and more engaging gameplay I think.

    Player Experience:

Hosted events are an amazing part of FFXIV and I think it would be effort to do, but officially sponsored events player events would be next level. Great example player concerts. From time to time a group of players gather and play music. Host an official concert utilizing different player ensembles. Give them a unique gift for putting on a concert in a specific area at a specific time for other players to enjoy. Give them an enhanced range on their instruments for the duration so that many players could gather and listen and enjoy each other's company.

    Performance Mode
Give performers a donation plate to give gil and/or items for their performance so they wouldn't have to stop to recieve said donations. This would allow a small incentive to hone your craft.

These are just a couple brainstormed ideas I thought would be cool to implement. Please give feedback, I'd love to see this game firing on all cylinders.

In regards to the Limit Gauge, generally it's used exclusively by DPS to burn down the enemy quickly right at the end, but there are a few trials where the tank has to use it instead in order for the whole party to survive a phase change (
Seat of Sacrifice after the Quick Time Event when Elidibus summons the other Shards Warriors of Light as his own Limit Break, The Final Day when Meteion literally drops a planet on you to 'end the Universe', spring to mind
), as it's a complete party wipe if you don't.

Players actually had their own Limit Break gauge of sorts originally, it was called Tactical Points or 'TP', and your weaponskills were your Limit Breaks, however because the TP gauge started out full in ARR (you had to fill it slowly in 1.0, as well as FFXI), you could burn through your abilities and rarely deplete it completely, and in the end SE just removed the gauge entirelly, bringing in Job gauges instead tied to certain abilities and mechanics. Hence TP Gauge is gone forever, and Limit Breaks will remain party only/
