Xbox Series X Dungeon Load times

I have been playing my max account on Xbox series x. I used to play on ps4 pro with a ssd. The load times when loading into zones is equivalent to my ps4 pro. Loading into dungeons or passing into loading screens in dungeons when moving to new areas within the dungeon take absolutely forever. People in the group load over a minute faster than me even though I passed through the loading zone first. This loading issue only applies to loading into a dungeon or moving within regions within the dungeon like when you have loading screens in the middle of the dungeon when loading a new part of the dungeon. Please report this to whoever handles Xbox client. For a ps4 pro loading in 3 seconds with a ssd moving to a Xbox series x with a nvme drive and taking 45 second to 1 minute is pretty bad.

Can you tell which dungeon this happens in, I have done some dungeons and not encountered this problem yet, I would like to test it on my Xbox Series X.

Loading times are slower than on PS5 for sure, but it should never take more than a few seconds between any loading screen.

So, any level 80 dungeon or higher. My wife is playing on ps5 and we will pass through the same time and my Xbox takes 45second to a minute to load and she will pop over on ps5 almost as soon as it goes black and loading.

Try aetherfront, it’s literally a 1 minute load time from first boss fight to next section. It’s actually slower than ps4 with hdd not a ssd. Every dungeon I’ve tried so far is like this

Here are my testing:
Loading into the game takes way longer than on PS5, about the same as on PS4 Pro with SSD.
I cleared Lunar Subterrane, and the transition phase between the dungeon areas took longer than expected, by a few seconds. Others had already ran past me.
Ridorana Lighthouse, transitions between areas and fight phases in the robot fight took about 6 seconds, which I think is also longer than expected. But nothing like a minute long loading time at least.

However I didn't test Aetherfront so maybe that one is bugged or something? If this is constantly happening to you I suppose you should reinstall the game. I have been playing for about a week and I haven't experienced any insanely long loading times, but they are definitely much slower than PS5.

That seems odd that people are having loading time issues on Series X. I'm playing on the series X and have had no loading issues. Dungeons take about 5-10 seconds to load as do zone changes. This includes low level dungeons, level 80 dungeons and level 90 dungeons as well as trials and raids. Coming out of treasure dungeons is almost instant for me whereas when I played on PC with a fast SSD it could take 45-60 seconds. Are you playing the game off the internal SSD or an expansion SSD? What size is your SSD? If it helps them investigate I'm playing off the internal SSD, it's 1 tb and my console is only 3 months old.

I just did Aetherfront and the loading times seem to be similar, transfers between dungeon areas take 5-10 seconds, which is not impossibly long but it is much longer than on PC/PS5 (don't have a PS4 to test anymore) where those transfers are basically instant, this shouldn't be the case on Xbox so I would consider it a bug/disappointment. It is clear when everyone else is already running far ahead of you in the dungeon after an area load.

5-10 seconds is not what I’m asking to have addressed. Load times can be between 30-45 seconds. This is not an every run thing, and happens less on series x. On series s load times can be well over a minute on respawns instance transfers and it happens often. This needs to be looked into.

The series x has a nvme not a solid state external drive. This load time is a common issue and has been documented by digital foundry’s most recent video on ffxiv and Xbox.

After 2 months of playing it is clear there are severe issues with loading times. Digital Foundry has reported them but that along with the chat filter are unaddressed problems that we won't know if they will fix. That's why I'm withholding from buying Dawntrail for Xbox for now.
