    Scholar Question

Iam new on Scholar, and iam only lvl 43 now with scholar, but struggling on tank healing when they pull a lot. I got a few flames from other players.

When the tanks pulls they got only 50% life, running around corners or something stupids. And when i start healing cast Adloquium (Barrier healer i know that) but when i cast Physick after that the barrier its long gone from that much dmg from all the Mobs.
And i cant heal the dmg that the Tank get out. Its normaly or i make something wrong? or will be it better in higher levels?

Assuming your ilvl is up to par with the dungeon you are running and Stone Vigil is the dungeon, it really is tough. You are stuck with Adlo + Physick spam. It will also help if you weave Whispering Dawn for the regen effect. Also make sure that the fairy is near the tank else it will not get targeted with Embrace.

Other than that, it's all on the tank and dps if they're taking way too much damage they could've evaded.

Edit.. you also may need to order your pet to Stay or Place so it will not move along with you. This will somehow affect its Embrace casts since it will prioritize following you before casting... Just don't forget to Heel else it will withdraw from battle and you'll have to resummon it

Honestly you are at an awkward spot where you are about to be dumped a massive amount of healing tools at 45 with lustrate

Regardless ignore that old advice to go adlo->physick->adlo, just use adlo, the shield will crack fast enough that you will still get plenty of use out of it

Also use whispering dawn on CD basically, that’s about all you can do at that level if your gear is up to date

get illumination boost healing done by 10% and defence for 5% it isn't much but it does a difference when you need one and also you can ask the tank to slow down that they like it or not.

your fun count too and like people said 43 is the awkward moment to

Role skills are critical at this point for Scholar and positioning as well for both you and the fairy. Knowing the dungeon helps a lot too because you can predict when the tank will stop moving. First and foremost you want to use Swiftcast as a Scholar to shield the tank while moving between mobs. A Swiftcast Adlo can prevent a dead tank in many dungeon scenarios. You also want to position yourself to move to the next mob ahead of the tank. You don't necessarily want to run in front of them but you should be right next to them so that they never leave your line of sight when they turn a corner. If you start moving after the tank has run off and are already far away to begin with it only makes things harder for you. As a shield healer you also want to keep a close eye on the enemy mob health bars too. If the mob is about to die then the tank is about to leave and you want to be sure that before the tank moves to get more mobs they have a shield on them. This preemptive shielding along with the Swiftcast Adlo will normally stop the tank from looking half dead when they finally come to a stop and start actually taking damage. Every once in awhile a tank will miss one or two enemies and you'll find yourself tanking those mobs and getting your cast interrupted. Surecast will let you cast without interruption and a lot of players forget Surecast does more than prevent knock back and draw in effects. Try to be aware of your tools and use them because Scholar was designed in ARR to depend on those tools. Even Repose can be useful if a Caster type enemy is out of the main group being killed and targeting you. Putting it to sleep can save your life and the tanks too by proxy. Low level dungeons where every GCD matters are tough but if you use all the tools at your disposal like Whispering Dawn and Fey Illumination as mentioned above you'll get a lot more smooth runs.

★ Pre-cast [Adloquium] Before tank runs to pick mobs, tank should use [Sprint] so should you.
(Try to be close to tank at all times).

★ If you need to refresh [Adloquium] while running, use [Swiftcast] then [Adloquium].

★ Remeber to use [Whispering Dawn] and [Fey Illumination] when tank stops.

As said, you only do Adlo->Physick if the tank has not been hit in between and you are sure they won't be hit during the cast time. They most likely will be during dungeon pulls. Pretty much any damage to the shield make recasting Adlo more efficient or equally efficient to Physick.

Slightly less pure healing from Adlo usually isn't a big deal if the tank isn't taking damage at that time. What causes wipes all the time though is beginner Scholars who think they should only cast Adlo when the shield is entirely gone or they don't realize by the time Physick is finished casting it will be.

I'm going to say this from a tank's point of view - if you have tanks running around a corner with 50% or less HP remaining in early game dungeons where healing tools and their own mitigation are still limited, then the tank needs to stop being greedy and be fine with 4-6 mobs max.

Stone Vigil in particular is that breaching point for most jobs to start getting the really important tools. From what I read here, your tank has zero awareness about your limitations and made it infinitely harder for you. Yes, there are many things you could do in such situations, but if the tank is this greedy...

...then honestly reel him in with Rescue, tell him "No" and make him tank what he already has. I do this regularly in lower level duties when people forget that I don't have all my healing tools.

Everybody's already adding the important 'to do'-list so I'll just point a thing that stick out to my eyes: something is incredibly wrong with the tank to get as low as 50% when they're still in the middle of pulling the mobs. They'd have to be undergeared for the dungeon or is not sprinting while pulling the packs. This is also something that inexperienced tanks tend to not understood that running faster = less times getting hit by mobs that they pulled initially.

You'd be surprised how undergeared sprout tanks actually are once they reach Stone Vigil. The majority of them are running in level 20-25 gear, and none of them ever reads their skills, meaning there's never any Rampart, Reprisal or Arm's Length.
Source: me, as healer who did 2k+ mentors and dreaded Stone Vigil every single time.
