    I have had an active FFXIV account for the last 10 years, i was based in the USA, i moved to Australia a couple of years ago, changed my billing account no problem and transfared my account to an Oce server. I just pre purchased the new xpac and got my registration code for the earing and minion, however , when i went to the mog station to redeam it tells me i have the wrong code for my region, upon checking, i see SE still has me with my USA address.

    The update account page wont let me update countries, anyone have any suggestions?

    SE accounts are region bound on creation. If someone creates an NA region SE account, even if they move or change their address, it will always expect NA region codes. Which game servers people play on are unrelated to any region locks on their accounts.

    You cannot update your Country, region, name, surname and date of birth.

    As the other commenter said, you'll want codes for the region you registered with rather than your current residence location. A friend of mine is Australian and plays on Crystal but still uses non-NA purchases.

    Best you can do is try to a refund and buy from NA unless Square let's you change information.

    In my experience with Endwalker, if you bought it from the Square Enix Store, they easily refund a pre-order that was bought from the wrong region, despite making you check a box that withdraws this right.

    But if you can get SE to alter the region for you, maybe that would work. I'm not sure whether they can actually do that or not.

    Unfortunately, they can't alter the accounts region, it isn't possible to do.

    It would be best to cancel and get a refund through support, as the expansion will be for the PAL region as well as the code you got.
    Then buy the expansion from the NA store so you get the correct version.

    Check the link that Mosha posted, you don't need a VPN.

    I would checkout as a Guest, just enter your email address (required) and follow the instructions, though since your account is NA you might have used the site before and can just login.
    You can use AU credit/debit cards no problem, just don't use a VPN as it causes issues.

    Make sure the site doesn't auto correct to the AU or EU one (make sure .na.store is still in the url and it doesn't change to .au or .eu).
