Do you really use (or gonna use, if you get one) your house?

From perspective of a person who want to actively use the house, decorate it, get into gardening etc etc., would it be presumptious to say a person who gets a house only to keep it as a status symbol, never to be used or entered in again, and if he snatched it right in front of you, that he's not "using it properly"? And be mad about it, that he is "wasting" a house you could do so much better with?

If they never enter the house again, it will be back on the market within 45 days

That being said, walking through the wards to check out my neighbors houses and walking into an empty house with a summoning bell just makes me angry. If it's "under construction" status because you haven't had time to decorate it or you're waiting several months on a wait list from your decorator that's cool. But I've seen houses sitting empty for years and it kinda boils my blood. I've even offered to decorate friend's houses for free but some people just grab a house and then leave it completely empty with one NPC or summoning bell. Like really? You couldn't just visit the inn for that function?

For many of my plots I am waiting for the 7.x item limit increase and to see what they do with this mirage system they mentioned previously. In the meantime I've been levelling crafters on all the alts which own the houses so I can craft all the furniture ready for the changes dropping. Planning for one alt to become a hrothgal and I am quite excited to decorate her houses and go through the MSQ again with her also. Really enjoy playing my alts and messing around with their houses and glamour. I did several months of gardening in my own and friends plots and made a mountain of thav onions but the prices are so low compared to what they were I didn't find the effort to be worth it any longer. I would really love them adding more to gardening.

I will say having three mansions and only being able to nicely furnish 1 floor is tragic. I am hopeful they double their item limit.

I love my house, I use it every day. I love bringing guests there, I love when people visit. I love to queue for duties there, I love teleporting to it to go the the market board, I love expressing myself through decorating. Yes, I use it.

I have been trying to get a large for a few years now. I don't play the game anymore because getting a large has been my carrot-on-the-stick for playing from day one and the only thing I can do right now is login, enter lottery, and hope. I get into being a crafter and making as much of the furniture as I can to decorate my house myself (aside from rng drops like verdant partitions and goobue lambs, etc...); it's literally my favorite part of the game. I want a large for the interior vertical space to build in; it has an open foyer that is completely different than mediums and smalls. Mediums and smalls feel almost the same to me except for the decoration limit. That being said, I have a medium right now that I worked extremely hard for and I will never give it up until I can get a large or the game dies. The amount of luck to even get a medium now is absolutely insane. So yes, I would 100% use a large house as it has been my sole objective since starting the game. I would 100% be okay with housing mirage so I can have a large interior. Housing has been absolutely borked for a couple of years.

Honestly, I wouldn't hold your breath to get a large house, at least without an influx of new wards and plots. Right now, even if you aren't on a widely populated server, a wild large that pops from auto-demo is going to have a bare minimum amount of 60 lottery entrants. I'm on Twintania which isn't that populated and the last time a large house popped it had 93 entrants. Imagine your chances to win in such predicament.

So yeah, just wait for another portion of wards added I guess. Aside from that, nothing to recommend here, really.

Right now, even if you aren't on a widely populated server, a wild large that pops from auto-demo is going to have a bare minimum amount of 60 lottery entrants. Oh, I know. I think my chances last round were like <0.3% or something like that; There were 300+ entrants for an S30. Even gobbie larges get like 150+ entrants. I love my server though so it is what it is.

But for private housing, I'm honestly curious. For some reason, I have a feeling that those people who really want a house for themselves, Like, would you continue to use your house after that first week excitement of finally having a house fades away? Or you just want a house for an epeen factor, to show off?

LOL at mine everytime I am on for retainers, storage and crafting. Think you want to IMAGINE people fighting or competing with you so you see it that way.

I don't flex my epeen very much--I run a very small FC of old friends and keep to myself mostly.

I hate how housing was implemented as it's always been hugely unfair to the masses. When the Island Sanctuary was introduced, I was hoping that it would fill that void and give people a way to decorate and build a home. It failed in that aspect. No summoning bell or MB or other basic luxuries. Pretty lame. It'll be dead content for most people soon--if it isn't already.

tbf they said well in advance and many times that housing would not be a feature of Island Sanctuary. So didnt fail if it never promised it. Now I do think IS has plenty of other problems but I guess that ship has sailed now, likely to be left by the wayside
