It doesn't matter how many times I try, every time I put the address and try to go into the paymention (3 step) option, it comes with this error:

and a button to edit the address.

I edited the address and selected a different country, but still no go. Can't even reach the payment options.

It also doesn't work if I try to checkout as a guest, same error again.

Yea, same here. It's just completely broken. I gave up, will try again tomorrow. Pre-orders are pre-orders until the game actually releases, if you are going for the digital deluxe just wait.

I feel bad for the folks who want the physical edition. Not only is SE not selling this through the usual retail outlets, but their site is completely unable to handle the volume of traffic that decision resulted in.

This was happening to me yesterday. This may seem silly, but delete both cache and cookies from the SE store site, remove the preorder from your kart and start over.

In my case, I got impatient last time, refreshed mid-load and I borked it or something. When retrying, let each step take as long as it needs to load.

Ten years and they just can't get this part of an xpac launch right.

That's what happened to me yesterday and many others. I finally got through. Just had to keep trying. Hitting the edit pencil on the billing address seemed like it may have helped since that helped me and others, but it could have just been coincidence. Even after getting past payment I kept getting a non-functional place order button. Sucks that things haven't gotten improved yet.

Tried hundreds of times on firefox, no good.

Tried hundreds of times on google chrome, no good.

Tried only once on microsoft edge, you know, just in case... IT WORKED!

Should be noted that the store isn't run by SE. It's a third party running it for them, and since this rush happen for like a week every 2-3 years there isn't worth spending money on adding loadbalancers, additional servers etc to cover the ddos like load.
