    Are you trying to login? Because the SE store is broken right now and you can't log in to it. Just use guest checkout but with your email that you normally use for logging in, and then pay with Paypal. Credit card might work too, but I heard there were some issues with it.

    The emails with the pre-order codes are delayed, though.

    So, I forgot how this works. If I login with my FFXIV account and buy the expansion, do I get the code in my orders page or email? I don't have access to my old email and they're probably not going to prioritize my request to change it over all the payment issues they have to help people with. If the expansion code shows up in orders I assume I could just redeem it without using my email.

    You cannot pre-order Dawntrail from your FF14 account.

    Consider there are 3 different 'stores' here:

    FF14 Online Store: Where you buy housing, emotes, fashion accessories, fantasia, mounts, etc
    Mog Station: Where you add sub time, retainers (and upgrade existing expansions to digital deluxe versions)
    Square Enix Store: Where you buy the expansions themselves.

    You have to specifically use the Square Enix Store (not the Mog Station or the Online Store FF14 account were you would add subscription time, or additional services like retainers) to buy the Expansion.
    Doing so will give you the pre-order registration code. You can then go to your Mog Station and register the code i believe (under Enter Pre-order Bonus Code on Registration Codes, next to Enter Item Codes).

    If you do not have your original email, i dont see why you couldnt buy the Expansion and check out as a guest, entering whatever email you do use, and you will eventually get the code in that email.

    Also, update your email =D

    Right, that's what I meant. I would login to Square Enix store with my FFXIV account. Will it display the preorder code in my "orders" page in the store, or is it only going to be sent to my email?

    I considered doing it as a guest but the page has had errors so I don't want to risk anything. I would update the email for the SE store account but their archaic system doesn't allow me to do it manually and I had to send a request to customer support. Who knows how long that's going to take...

    If anyone knows where the code can be seen I'd appreciate it! Not in a rush, just impatient lol.

    The cluster is limited it looks like

    Been trying all day and from what I can see is the system engineers did not anticipate the amount of traffic on opening day and did not add servers to the cluster to accommodate the traffic and caused the system to take a proverbial 'dump' on everyone trying to log in and sign up ... I am a network engineer by trade but work with the systems guys hand in hand so I know someone screwed the pooch on this expansion .... now we need to wait a few days if not weeks just to be able to clear it up and log in ... I doubt they will prove me wrong

    Yes, and thats the problem. The poster said they do not have access to the email associated with their account, so they should NOT log in with those credentials to buy from SE store. If they are logged in buying from SE Store with the same FF14 account credentials, it will email the code to the email registered to the account (and if poster doesn't have access to it, they wont get their pre-order code).

    When you buy from the SE store, you do not have to log in. You can check out as a guest, and input the email you want (e.g. the one you still use). Then, when it emails you your code, you can log into the Mog Station and register the code sent to the email you used in guest checkout

    SE has already said people that used guest checkout will get codes registered to their accounts if they used the same email as their account when they used guest checkout (because SE login has been broken all morning.)

    I got a confirmation of my purchase but no code.

    Which on the added anxiety of not being a very patient individual.
    All I have is confirmation Square took my money.
    I didn't receive a code or anything.

    Just once I'd like it if interacting with Square Enix in any way on their own stores could for once be useful and not a headache.
    I've filed three different support notes and they gave me a case code for em and I don't know how to find them to review if they were even responded to.
