Once I had managed to get the order done correctly yesterday my code came through within 20 minutes.

If you didn't checkout as guest try logging in and looking at the order - if it's been processed you should see the code on there without having to wait for the email.

It's generally a good idea to wait a few days with 14 because people slam everything and cause massive congestion. People had to wait 1-2 days for a simple Fantasia when Endwalker launched and even new mounts can get people waiting around 24h. Personally I'm not shocked that people are facing similar now. Imo, there really isn't a reason to order on Day 1 unless you're trying to get something that could reasonably run out quickly (like something that comes with a limited run of statues for example).
