    Primal Fights & Drops in 2.0, cease to exist?

    I wasnt really sure where to ask these questions so i put it here since its battle-related.

    Will the current Primal Fights & drops cease to exist in FFXIV 2.0 ?

    If so, why is the drop-rate in for example the "Ifrit" fight so outrageously low?

    Im very concerned regarding this because on my main account i still havent
    recieved anything beyond dark matter. (no totems, no weapon drops at all)

    I know many out there share the same concern,
    and frankly im bored of going to an ifrit fight.

    Especially with a "Pick-Up-Group" where almost everytime
    its hard to tell who knows the tactics etc, not to mention since
    the droprate is so underwhelming it's not even encouraging
    helping other players with this.

    Im mostly asking because i would like to
    know what will happen in 2.0 (beta)

    Should i keep wasting my time, rush and try
    get a weapon before the vanish completly?

    Or can i calm down and stop worry that i wont be
    able to obtain these weapons further down the road?

    And finally, what will happen to the "Inferno Tapers" and the other
    items needed to enter the primal fights?
    Will these just dissapear?

    I spent hours on my main account farming these,
    dont tell me i farmed all those in vain because i havent
    been rewarded with a weapon yet. (So yeah i feel completly tricked)

    Yes! Give us our list of things to do before 1.0 is gone! I want to know if it's worth pushing my friends to fight Garuda before 2.0!

    ive been wondering as well.

    as for the drops, try to make the time to do 6-12 runs in a day straight. it really seems to make a difference instead of a few here and there.

    theyve pretty much already stated primals will stay, and in addition we will get the new free company roaming versions also(which wont drop gear)

    IIRC it seemed to be a consensus from the linkshell I was having this conversation with that it was officially on the lodestone but I never did bother to check it for myself. Not really in the mood for wading through endless official garbage posts that are horribly disorganized to prove it, so you're probably right.

    it wasnt official

    there have been several interviews about the new romaing primals

    and talk that things will "change" but as usual, people take that out of context and make it seem like it applies to everything being talked about at the time

    i said this over the the general version of this thread too, but we will have something official about whats being removed in the next month or so, they are compiling a list(waiting til its accurate) of whats being removed, and whats being altered, and i believe how it will be altered(for instance we were told flat out the gathering achievments were going to change, theyd still exist, but the requirements will reflect the new changes on them, while old info will carry over)
