Gear dying.
All armor is actual 3d models.
All content can be done as if it's current content.
All jobs can be done on one character.
One of if not the absolute best video game stories and world building ever.
Flying is relatively easily accessible.
Yoshi P. A game director who actually loves, who actually plays, who actually have passion for the game. I may not agree with all of his opinions or design choices for the game but I have mad respect for him and wouldn't take anyone else as game director.
The community. While it's not perfect is one of the nicest and friendly online communities I've ever encountered.
It feels like home. There is a comfort and a community here. It's like a home away from home.
The diversity of bodies from dommy mommies to uwu smol bean bois to big daddies to short stack ladies and even playable potatoes.

All jobs are viable and acceptable in the "meta". An incredibly difficult feat.
Every npc has a life story, the world feels so alive.
Dislikes:
2.5 second GCD. It does get less atrocious at higher levels with plentiful ogcds and some jobs reduce their GCD a bit.
When you're sync'd down to a lower level you lose all your higher-level abilities And a lot of jobs are not fun pre 60.
You cannot manually lower your level or sync with a party member in the open world.
No pet jobs. I understand pet AI was atrocious and was not easily fixable but as someone who loves pet classes in any game that has them it does make me sad.
The character models still look good and are getting an update but the customisation options seem on the low side for modern video games. The amount of tattoos in particular are atrocious and Au Ra having their face and horn type merged bothers me. Also the fact that there are many npcs with customisation options players don't have despite clearly using player model.
No nature-oriented jobs. 20, soon to be 22 jobs and the only semi nature-oriented job white mage loses that as they get to higher level. Give me geomancer please.
The price tag on additional retainers. $2 per is kinda oof. I get that they probably take up additional server space but still.
The way the glamour dresser works. Why does it work like that? 800 slots (and that's higher then it used to be). Why can't it work like WoW transmog. Which is similiar to mounts/minions where you unlock appearances rather then store them.
Alt unfriendly. Almost nothing is account bound. A new alt might as well be a new account in most instances. You don't NEED an alt in this game. You can do everything on one character, so it is understandable to a degree but it still sucks.
The artificial scarcity of housing.
No butt slider.
Paladins don't feel much like paladins, and bard don't feel much like bards.
The ugly default underwear and the ugly default sandles we wear while "barefoot"
