Suggestion: Cross DC Partyfinder Per Region

This is an absolutely unrealistic thing to ever expect. It would shatter raid statics and would piss off the fanbase to no end.

The only practical solution now is cross-DC party/duty finder, and I really hope the devs are working on it and can implement it ASAP. I think it's too much to hope it will be in place for Dawntrail launch (imagine they would have announced it by now).

That's not a solution. A solution would be for primal and crystal to make their own dcs lively again and leave us on aether alone.

I'm actually glad dawntrail is soon too. 1 or 2 glorious weeks of no world or DC travel (if they do what they did in endwalker).

I need to know why you are so salty about other dcs. You are not a queen. Its not your server. Sit down and stop trying to tell other people they cant visit.

Second of all, some of the original aether servers got pulled away from it. So imo they have every right to visit as it was their home before they unwillingly got forced off.

I started in 2010 and I think DC travel as implemented was a mistake. Does that make my opinion more valid because I played through the mess that was 1.0?


They should have locked pf from it, or done something to dis-incentivise traveling to other dcs strictly for content
Cross world travel was one thing, DC travel was a mistake. We all knew how it would go after the mass migration to gilgamesh during Alexander.

Could probably curb a lot if they just make it so you have to be from a given DC to create a PF listing or to queue into the instance. Still allows friends/statics to do things together as one of the original intents was being able to go join others you knew, but might help people stay and start the PF on their own DCs.

Also I don't think it would kill raids. New statics would form. To think otherwise shows your extreme lack of faith in your own DC.

The fan base is pretty well pissed off 24/7 About something. And it would shatter current statics.Yeah current static would shatter but people would just go back to what it did before you could DC travel

Lol you know little about me. It's not salt but concern because you hear stuff and a major gripe from other dcs is the lack of stuff in pf because people deemed one content and literally killed their own off.

Also a bit funny that I have 3,180 subbed days and been playing since patch 2.3 in 2014. I have quite fond memories of those days.

So am not sure where you got 2016 from. Unless you mean forum join date.

As for the rest. As I said. It's a concern because other dcs (dynamis I won't include) deemed one a content DC and effectively killed theirs off.

I would also not be on that high horse. You are arguing very wrong and not noticing stuff around you. I see the complaints amongst the community. It's a bit sad really.

There's no need for this. Statics are fine but otherwise. Stick to your DC. Liven them up and run content there. Don't kill them off because people in the community think one DC is great at content.

tl/dr: It would take 2-3 years to develop a a system like this. And that's if they make it at all. They're not convinced it would be worth the time and effort to do.

Yes and no, the question was asked a few times during the media tour and by the time Shenpai had her interview slot with Meoni in Germany, Yoshida mentioned some other ideas have come up the team and himself need to reflect about. He stated the 3 years thing as well, but also they are looking for other approaches to this topic because ofc players wouldn't want to wait three years.

So it's not a "we don't bother fixing this issue ever", just a "it's complicated, the obvious approach would take forever, but we know it's an issue and are going to think about other solutions."

I suppose the user base here in the forum present in these discussions is probably mostly playing on NA servers, but this issue exists in other regions as well, including JP and EU. Everyone is affected by it, they won't ignore it. It's just not that easy to fix the mess coming from opening this box of pandora.
