Gonna Swallow Up a Collectors Box, and A Steam Preorder DT Copy.

Seems like a Basic Enough good Start for DT.

Sure thr Collectors Box may not fit everyone's taste.

(A Wrappable Material to contain writing/drawing Utensils. PIC Much)

(Book to write and draw in, ETC for those who write notes or anything. Lore Enthusiasts, and Artist or those who like keepsakes.)

(New Map, many want it, not many will have this one.)

(Collector Figure for those who like them. You know they're gonna aim for this one. As it's the Start of the New ARC)

TLDR:
I know what ilk be getting from the game, and these items.

When it comes to SE/CBUIII's FFXIV, the stigma of Pre-ordering is lessened/non-existent.

Unless you like to compare the ebb and flow of Patch/Expac Qualities. (Despite the fact its still too damn early to get a feel out of DT, more so when no patch has been out or will be out for many months to come.)

Digital copies shouldn't run out of stock, and if I learned something. It's not to give my money to the devs until they show everything.

I know I'm but a one person, but I still believe not giving my money to the devs until like last week or something should send a strong message that I want them to earn my money.

I will be pre-ordering on Tuesday, I'm very excited for this expansion. The part that I mainly play for (the story) looks interesting, there's a few extra pieces of content I'm interested in (Cosmic Exploration in particular) and in general I just love this game and have faith in the developers.

Sounds like Yoshi is doubling down on putting complexity into mechanics while keeping jobs braindead.

Probably wont sub again to EW part II. It feels really good to have some skillcap to shoot for in your job. Something that makes people say "I know them. They're that really good DRK/SGE/ect. player".

Game feels empty if youre just another body on the floor dancing along to fight mechanics. Indestinguishable to anyone else on your job outside of how many AoEs you get hit by.

I'm definitely going to pre-order. Why? Because I'm definitely going to play Dawntrail. I don't know if my pc will handle it but I'll upgrade what's needed long before Dawntrail is over. Anyone who knows for a fact they will play the newest expansion when it's current can only benefit from pre-ordering. It's the same price, and you get extra stuff for free buying a game you're going to play anyway.

Do you intend to pre-order when they start on Tuesday, wait until later, or don't plan to pre-order at all?

What is influencing your decision?

Do you have faith in the developers that you will enjoy the expansion and so have no reservations pre-ordering as soon as possible?

Do you not have faith in them and so have no desire to pre-order?

Are you a collector/completionist only pre-ordering because you will go crazy if you miss out on the pre-order bonuses to fill those collector/completionist impulses?

Will you only pre-order because there is no risk to you and so why not?

I'm pre-ordering because I have faith in the development team. I've no doubt that Dawntrail will have its flaws just as each expansion has had some but I'm also confident I will still enjoy playing the expansion.

I only wanted 1 thing out of this expansion (Female Hrothgar). I am getting that thing, and so I will get the preorder.

Unless you become an altaholic. Then, because they are account-wide, you'll get lots of actual use out them.

Well, yeah, that too. Plus they continue to work if you dip down to synched content in their level range.

But still, whatever range of time you need them for levelling, whenever it runs out, their remaining use is still glamour in the end.

I will "preorder" at the last moment for the early access. I just find the concept of pre-ordering irritating. It made some sense to secure a copy for the release day back when games only came in physical form and had a limited supply, but nowadays it's only a ploy to get players to pay well in advance of the actual release of the product, which essentially boils down to lending publishers money with no interest rate.

It's been a long time since I preordered anything (since Endwalker, I think), but doesn't it only actually charge you on the day of release? In which case you're not lending them money but just committing to buy the product.

Plus in this game's case, even if you did have to pay (or pay a deposit) then you're possibly getting a tangible benefit out of owning the preorder earrings. It's different to a stand-alone game where you have nothing of it until launch day.

I'll pre-order later, I know what we are getting in DT (the fact the game is predictable to this point is a whole nother discussion) so the pre-order is at least "safe" compared to pre-ordering a new game. I used to get the box, but honestly with shipping and import tax it's just too expensive, specially considering I couldn't give AF about the dumb statue they usually add in to this.. honestly wish there was a version with just the art book and cloth map - or a PDF of them for the digital collectors :/

NA/EU square enix store you will be charged immediately when you pre-order. You also cannot cancel.

I have yet to be charged immediately when I pre-order a FFXIV expansion through the SE store.

I just went back through my payment method statements to confirm. I pre-ordered Shadowbringers but was not charged until July 3, 2019 (official release date).

I pre-ordered Endwalker and was not charged until November 15, 2021 (a week before the original announced release date that got pushed back at the last minute).

Perhaps it will be different this year but that is not how it's been done in the past.
