TBH a 1080 is gonna stomp a 2060, but your 6700 is going to need to be upgraded if for no other reason than windows not supporting it sometime in 2025.

Perhaps, but I don't think a 2060 will drive my 32" 4K GSYNC monitor at at least 60fps with max quality settings.
I'll know better when the benchmark comes out, but my calculations right now indicate that my spouse and I may be upgrading to RTX 4070 Supers for our primary systems that we use for dungeons, raids, etc), and waterfalling our current RTX 3070s to our secondary systems.

My spouse has already upgraded to a newer processor, so we only need to build one new system.

All in all, I'm budgeting around US$2500 for Dawntrail, of which $160 is for four copies of the game.

Way too many... consoles already held us back long enough....

Minimum PC specs have been well below what a PS4 could handle for a while now, never mind a PS4 Pro or PS5. Consoles haven't been to blame for holding anything back since they dropped PS3 support back in Stormblood.

Except I need two new GPUs: one for me and a matching one for my spouse. So those part picks, which are perhaps overkill, don't work for my budget.

I'll probably just build a duplicate of the primary system we built for my spouse a few months ago, except with a better GPU.
Having too many unique systems in the house can be a pain to maintain.

Both configurations are in the budget of 2500 USD. But i did not know, that you need two GPUs. But IMHO both configurations are good start points.

No argument there, though after 30 years of building PCs, I've become fond of SeaSonic PSUs and Noctua coolers.

Any official documentation for it? Like a lodestone? I don't use icyveins regularly so I'm not surprised it fell through the cracks for me if that's all there is.

They did though. That was just a recap.

Realistically they were always going to aim for the 2060 though. A card that's been out a while, reasonably priced, other cards before it sometimes had similar specs.

Not trying to fight anyone, just trying to see if I simply missed a lodestone announcing the specs months ago or if this was something you only would know by being involved in the pre-Dawntrail streams/following updates on news sites or social media.
