Final Fantasy - TCG (English and/or FF14?)

Yes this is yet another "card game" post being iterated, and has probably been brought up before.


I've just been browsing around & completely forgot about the official FF-TGC that's been released in japan for sometime now.

After watching a few videos i remembered Yoshi-P wanted to find a specific card game to implement into FF14.
Since there isn't an official english version (that i'm aware of), i thought it would be cool if they released it for FF14 since it wouldn't be that difficult to go off of what already exists anyway. Along with being relatively new as well.

While i personally would like to see Tetra Master, i believe there's too many people on the fence between that & Triple Triad, so why not the official card game?

This isn't entirely what i pictured taking place, but i think it could be great, especially if the cards are dynamic like Tetra Master online.


So what do you guys think, being able to collect various cards & play with friends in-game (future iPhone/Android app as well?) with all the various cameos that would be present from this official TCG?

My thoughts exactly. Without this game becoming too much of a "fan service" game. This would be an appropriate avenue to implement them, i believe.

Sure!

The one thing I dislike about this "official" game is the vast variation in art-styles and the overall poor look of the cards... But if this were re-done in-game I don't see why not. It seems like a fairly fun game.

Yoshida has pretty much come out and said that if they put a tcg in the game it would have to be a new one.

they should make it INGAME in FFXIV an external game would be just boring after a while. like tetra master for playonline

that would be awesome to meet with someone at the taverne and play an other game, inside the game itself ;D
