Bad Design Ideas Thread.

I'm not sure if a thread like this was made before, tbh, but I'll give it a shot.
FFXIV is arguably a quite good game with some flaws, but let's make the worst game design decisions ever.

Rules:
- You cannot use mechanics that are already in the game that you simply deem bad. You can make existing mechanics worse however.
- It should be the worst design decision/mechanic you can come up with.This can include raid mechanics, MSQ, artificial difficulty (level 3 and above), simply oversights in design, making the game as tedious as humanly possible, and unfair elements.
- Monetization is low hanging fruit, so avoid it, unless it is the only way to solve something. So no "buy sprint in the shop" or the like.
- Your post should fit with what is realistically possible in the game.
- This thread is not here to complain about the game. If you want to complain about the game, go somewhere else, or make your own thread.

Examples:
FATES spawn 10 enemies 2 levels above the one you sync to within the a 10 minute time limit, but only if you defeat the previous enemy, which has a high HP., and needs at least 3 players to defeat. The enemies also spawn on the furthest spot away from the last.

Job quests require other jobs to complete, or even hinge on that. Not having the job required may soft-lock you. So you better be an archer to know how to make and test a bow, olr the character you made the bow for will die. And you will be blamed.

this doesng stop paypal legends tho. alot of mentors are also rocking a legend title and then dying to normal mechanics multiple times a dungeon.

Raid bosses are from Dark Souls but your control scheme is from DDR.

We bring back Jagddolls from TEA but this time you cant get rid of them by feeding them to the boss. Instead you need to keep them alive through the entire fight. Good luck dancers.

MSQ requires flight, which can only be unlocked if you unlocked flight in the previous area.

Let's go for a mechanic : "confusion (v2)" : each time you use an action, randomly shuffle your targeting list (foes & allies) / change targeting order/setting ; bonus point if it enable friendly fire.

Edit : let's just add friendly fire. Healers complain there's not enough to heal due to overgearing ; if the dps's aoe hit the tank, that solve the problem !

Minimum ILVL still means you're undergeared.

If you wipe 3 times on ultimate everyone in the party goes back to level 1 and all gear unequips.
