Xbox achievements not unlocking for my main character

    Hi,
I been playing FFXIV for over 2 years now and I just bought the Xbox Series X version of this game and only 7 achievements unlocked for me. My character is Nady Roo which I know on my Playstation 5 I unlocked more than 7 trophies.

Please assist as I purposely bought this game on Xbox for the achievements but also to have the ability to play on xbox and playstation and PC.

Please advise on how my achievements will unlock as I already beat the game and should have a lot of achievements on xbox retroactively.

That's 7 more than me. Not one achievement popped for me. I've been playing since the release in 2010.

I'm guessing it works the same way as it does for PS Trophy popping.

Let's say you finished the first FATE achievement, which needs you to do 1000/1000 FATEs. Since you already did it, on PS you need to do another FATE for the trophy and your achievement to sync. This is just an example, and can also be applied to MSQ achievements. When I got my PS5, I intentionally didn't finish the final 6.3 quest because I'd have to wait for the next patch to get all of the MSQ trophies.

Try seeing if you can do what the Xbox Achievement requires of you again and see if it pops, even if you already have the achievement in-game.

But what about achievements like the one for beating the story? I already beat the story / gotten those Trophies on playstation.

I've played on Playstation before and got the Xbox version today; my achievements took... I want to say between half an hour and an hour maybe, until I finished an in-game-achievement on one of my characters, and then they started popping up in a row. Later when I looked at the in-game achievement screen, another showed up. So it seems the Xbox network needs a moment to process it, and potentially a trigger to tell it to check for achievements. That's just pure speculation on my part, but maybe it helps someone trigger theirs.

Then you have to either make a new character on the same account to redo the story or wait until 7.0 launches. It sucks, I know. That's why I included my example of waiting.

When it comes to achievement unlocking, this is the what I usually know from switching between PC, PS5 and Xbox:
Level achievements: Do an action as this class that would give you XP (even if max level)
Achievements with counters (Like Fates, certain number of dungeons, certain number of gathering/crafting): Complete one of those counted actions. The counter of the achievement will then automatically catch up to the relevant point.
Story progression achievements: Complete the next story quest. If you already completed all, then just start a Ng+ point at any point of the story. Complete one quest, and all story achievements will pop up.
Content achievements (for Alliance Raids and Raids): Those have to be completed again each on that platform. Unsynced runs count.
Relic weapon achievements: Open the achievements menu in-game. This should ‚trigger‘ the achievements on Xbox (they did at least for me)

    I hope this helps!

I had the MSQ completion achievements show up after I completed a quest on my main character. It was the Miner level 30 or 35 Class Quest, not part of the MSQ at all, so my speculation is that completing ANY quest will trigger all quest completion achievements. I got the achievement for clearing LotA from doing it in an Alliance Roulette, but it didn't pop any other Alliance Raid Completion achievements, so I'm guessing those are all individually triggered, which is further down the Inconvenient scale, but not a major hassle, since they're all doable via Alliance Roulette.

I wish getting all the ones you're qualified for recognized was like it had been in FFXI on the XBox 360, and there was just an NPC you could talk to who would trigger ALL of them. (Also, RIP FFXI on Console)

I've had to redo certain content for it to trigger. Same story on PS5 when I used that.
Finishing a regular side-quest seemed to trigger some achievements.

It's slightly annoying there isn't a sync option or something in-game.
