Login bug after latest patch

Hi,

Since the latest patch I have been unable to log in via the launcher (official Windows launcher launched via WINE).
When trying to log in I get the following message:
"This service account does not have a valid FINAL FANTASY XIV license for this platform or your subscription has expired."

However I am trying to launch via the same platform that I have played on previously, and my subscription is still ongoing.

There's been several Reddit posts by people running into the same issue on Steam Deck and other desktop Linux distros so it looks like the latest patch has prevented most/all Linux users from being able to log in.

Same here, the patch broke the login process on Linux Tech support told me to complain on the forum, so hello :wave:

Same here. Steam deck user, using the Steam version of the game. My windows laptop install has been broken for a while due to some dx issue so this renders me unable to play at all

Me too. I can log on fine on my PC, but can't on Steam Deck.

Slackware Linux user, same issue. IIRC Wine needs to hide itself from FFXIV to prevent the launcher from thinking you're playing on Mac, so maybe the detection code changed and the workaround needs to be updated.

Or, you know, Square could actually support Linux.
