    Jenova raids when?

Man, I'm here playing FF7 Rebirth and wondering when are we going to fight Sephiroth in FFXIV? I want to fight the snake Midgardsormr, and the Hell House, and the Tankceratops, and all the weird ass bosses from FF7. I know we already had the weapons but, come on, imagine a raid fight with actual Sephiroth, imagine how Supernova is gonna be like.

Well we already have a Midgardsormr in FFXIV and we've already had multiple battles with it.

We might get something like Jenova someday but it would have to make sense in the FFXIV lore, similar to what they did with Anima for this game. They could have probably even named that Jenova and been fine.

I think just bringing Sephiroth into this game would be lame. If they had a big role that did them justice instead of making new main characters like Emet, Zenos and Gaius, it would be lame. If they had a small camero role, it would devalue what Sephiroth is. So I doubt it'll happen.

Nah, they gotta bring Sephiroth one day. You know how people react to Sephiroth, you know what happened with Smash. Maybe they're saving him for when the game is on the brink of collapse. But I do agree that he has to have big role in the story somehow, he can't be just a single boss fight.

The Guard Scorpion was also the first boss in Ala Mhigo. To say nothing of how Nael van Darnus was essentially Sephiroth (grey hair, wields an unusual weapon, is a high ranking supersoldier that went insane, summons a 'meteor' - even had a 'walking into the flames' scene).

Ironically, because of FFVII's iconic status and the success of it's tie in games, I doubt we'll ever see an actual crossover event here in FFXIV, as such events or content seems to be used for cross-promotional purposes (hence why less successful FF games like FFXV got crossovers).

Zenos kinda has his own Sephiroth vibe going on as well. He even started off as a katana boi.

no. we had Zenos.. we do not need a Sephiroth

after this long, I am tired of dealing with ancient anything, and would rather prefer something new. a new story arc shouldnt trot out old and well used things.

Jenova Battle would be cool, but I do admit there been a few Sephy Clones.

Plus we've had plenty in the way of crossover material for it already. We've had numerous bosses from FF7, including the weapons, and even cloud's gear and motorbike.

Honestly I just want this to hear Soken's take on FFVII classic tracks.

On a personal level, if they do use him, I hope he *is* just a single boss fight. We've had various versions in FFXIV in regards to villains from other games (shoving ARR, SB, and EW spoilers under a spoiler):

In the Crystal Tower raids, we got the Cloud of Darkness from FF3; she's narrative relevant, but not much of an actual character here in XIV.

In the Omega raids, we got Chaos (FF1), Exdeath (FF5), and Kefka (FF6) as single boss fights, with the context that they were not really relevant to our world (can't remember if they were extraplanar, fictional, or something else) and just recreations by Omega for us to fight.

Then in the Endwalker patch quests, we've got Golbez, who is very clearly from FF4 but has an MSQ role and new XIV-specific context and character.

Personally, I'd rather see Sephiroth as a one-off fight if they're going to put him in at any point. It means they don't need to try and adapt him to the context of XIV's lore and world, nor try and force the story to adapt around him as an important part of it - and they can go as wild as they want with making the fight over-the-top.
