Why does SquareEnix HATE crafters? Expert recipe's

I'm gonna be a hater this moment. None of the other other job mandate you spend anything to get best in slot or things. Run dungeon, raid, etc and get gear. Gatherer go collect. Yes, you can "speed" things up with buying food and whatnot, but you can still gear up easy-peasy.

Crafters go F-yourselves with random status effects during your "expert recipes". I know it's to get rid of macro crafting, make money selling crafts, and gil sink, but it's pure torture to me. A fair percentage of crafting should be 10%fail, 45% 1 collectability, 35% 2 collectability, and 10% 3 star. I've been crafting last to splendorous with food and juice and at best I get 30% fail, 50%1 star, 19%2 collectability, and 1% 3 collectability. It gets worst on the last tier of splendorous crafts.. I've fail 60% times, 30%1star and 10% 2 star. 3 doesn't exist.

WORST YET, You need inventory items (buy or collect yourself) and wasting item for failure AND wasting time.

I can admit maybe I'm not crafting above-excellent skill, but THIS IS A GAME. I play all jobs and all crafts. Wasting this much of my time is extremely frustrating and even when I get the "item" I don't feel rewarded. I feel abused.

I also know some jerk is gonna come in here and say "YOur doing it wrong".

I also know the curse of all rpg games, when dawntrail hits my "best is slot" will be instantly worst in slot.

They don't hate crafters. They value crafters. That's why they created content for crafting that is equivalent to what Ultimate is for raiding. Expert crafting has been a lot of fun for me since it was introduced. There is always room for improvement but at least they're on the right track. It's far more interesting than normal recipes where you can figure out a rotation then macro it for perfect success every time.

If you want to be a hater, that's your option. I would suggest that you stop hating yourself, though. Nothing is accomplished by being miserable. If you don't like Expert, don't do it. You only have yourself to blame if you feel like you've been abused and your time has been wasted. It was your choice to continue with something you didn't find fun.

If you're just trying to get the relic tools, some of us are able to help you with that if you tell us your Craftmanship, Control and CP (without food or draught). Unlike standard Expert recipes, macros can be created for the tool recipes that will reliably give at least minimum needed rating if not better depending on your stats.
