Question for Female Hrothgar Naming Conventions

Hello! I am new to the forums so I don't know if this topic was covered yet but,

Are there any different naming conventions for Female Hrothgar? specifically relating to that of surnames
and does a head clan female, or "queen" follow the same naming conventions of surnames

Would they have traditionally Slavic names without prefixes or suffixes due to them being at the head of their respective clans?
i.e. instead of Azlata or Zlatasch would it just be Zlata to represent their status as head of a clan?

Being the heads of their respective clans I assume so since it says in the Naming Conventions post for Male Hrothgar names that they adopt the name of their queen with a suffix or prefix depending on their queen's status.

Also do these same naming conventions apply to Female Hrothgar? I feel like the wording of the old post gives the intention that they were specifically writing for the names of Male Hrothgar.

any help or knowledge on the topic would be appreciated!

We do not know yet! We only know of two female hrothgar names: the historical Gunnhildr (who's name was also a title) and Wuk Lamat whose name is almost certainly Turalian in origin, rather than following the naming conventions of hrothgar from the Three Great Continents.

So, we cannot say for certain.

    I did a write-up on this previously:

    Expanded Hrothgar Naming Traditions

In short, they've wound back the "all female Hrothgar are queens" to have them also potentially be Helions and Lost in service to a queen, and thus follow the same surname conventions already established.

No instructions have been provided for actual queens' surnames, and the closest example we have (from the history provided in Save the Queen) feels like it was written by someone who didn't understand the rules and just gave ancestor and descendant the same surname, resulting in a queen with a Lost surname.

Lore-wise it seems likely that any player-character Hrothgar (of either gender) would be culturally one of the Lost.

For given names, we can derive a decent number of female name options from the existing surnames.

    Thank you for the help!
I didn't see the write-up while searching but it has been very informative!!!

A lot of information that wasn't at my hands prior (like the Encyclopedia Eorzea) definitely cleared up questions on female naming conventions for Female Hrothgar regarding the Bozjan culture!!
It'll be interesting to see if the Hrothgar in Tural have new naming conventions or borrow from other cultures within the area!
