As I understand it, Nanamo ultimately comes to the realisation that just breaking down the monarchy won't magically make the country a lovely republic, and she's better off keeping her position and learning to exert what power she can over the Syndicate.

Also, on a side note, you don't need to capitalise "alt" – it's just a shortened form of "alternate character", not an acronym.

I think Nanamo and Lolorito had more interactions after that. Around 4.1.

There is a short story explaining the aftermath of the Bloody Banquet and Lolorito's involvement and subsequent... compensation to the crown? It's also mentioned in a side-quest in 3.x that closes up (or catches up) some stories. Also, Yuella's correct, the plot was picked back up in 4.1 with Nanamo approaching Godbert and later Lolorito on how best to aid the Ala Mhigans.

The tl;dr is that Ul'dah will remain as is for the forseeable future as upending its entire system just to (attempt to) defang the Monetarists would do more harm than good to the common people. So instead Nanamo is working with rather than against them, appealing to their greed when possible.

That whole plot line lost all of its relevance the instant they decided to retcon Nanamo's death, which effectively reset everything to factory defaults. Aside from the aforementioned quests that sort of wrap up that story, nothing is fundamentally changed in Ul'dah between 2.0 and now.

They could have done interesting things with that. A power struggle within the Syndicate. Growing civil unrest coupled with increasingly harsh reprisals by Syndicate-backed security companies. Garlemald, sensing weakness, becomes more aggressive. The WoL, in exile and accused of regicide, must clear his name and prevent the flames of war from spreading across Eorzea.

Damn, I think that's an outline for an expansion.
