Just a random thought on what the other "mounts" will do when 2.0 comes out. We all know that Chocobo's will be able to assist in battle as well as carry some items for us, but are those functions exclusive to them and not the Magitek Armor and Gobbue?

Something that, and this is just me rambling, could work with say the Magitek Armor is that it could help with crafting in some way because of it's mechanical composition. The Gobbue could also lend it's assistance to gathering as well seeing how it is more attuned with nature. However, seeing how the Gobbue seems to be only accessible from now to 1.23a, it may seem unfair for new players who cannot get them, but they could further down the line release a new mount that could have the same functions as the Gobbue. Although, I could still settle with knowing that both the Magitek Armor and Gobbue will be able to help with combat.

Now this is all just random thoughts on what could happen, but it would seem strange to me that only the Chocobo will be able to do other things outside the traditional use of transportation where as the Magitek Armor and Gobbue will not.

Also, no I'm not suggesting we flood FFXIV with more mounts. This is not World of Warcraft or other MMOs where they are only there for aesthetics or have little to no use in other forms of gameplay. I'm loving the idea that, at the very least, the Chocobo has something outside the generic use of just transportation. Having a select few mounts available, but focusing strictly on their usefulness and adding content to them as well as giving us the ability to give them armor and raising our own is a far more enjoyable, and personal form of having mounts.
