I can understand how someone may not like a Final Fantasy title but when they have the audacity to say one sucked and it was garbage to me that says they are not a real Final Fantasy fan. I love all Final Fantasy titles that I have played and that is most of them. I do have some that I dislike more than others but I do not hate or think any Final Fantasy game is garbage. I don't condemn people for having FF10 as their favorite FF game, hell I liked X-2(minus many of the girly scenes that made me cringe and the overall story wasn't amazing), I liked FFXIII even though it was lacking every other feature just about that other FF titles had in them. I have a buddy who absolutely loves FFXIII, it was his first FF game and it is the game that opened his eyes to RPGs. He went back and played FF9 and loved the game though XIII has a special place in his heart now.

Final Fantasy 7 is like that for a lot of people and me too honestly. Though I used to sneak into my brothers room when he wasn't home when I was around the 6-8 range and play his Final Fantasy II on the SNES. I didn't know what I was doing then on those games but I thought they was freaking awesome. A couple years later is when I got my hands on FF7 I was about 10 and it was mine. It brought back that magic feeling I got when I used to play my brothers FFII. That is something I will never forget but as well I really enjoyed the story, the soundtrack is superb, the materia, characters, the way the game progressed, etc etc the list goes on. The other FF title that is tied for a spot with FF7 is FFT. It was a different breed of game tied in with amazing characters and storyline. Ivalice has such a rich lore it captured my heart! Any how that was my spiel, just remember we are all Final Fantasy fans what the hell does it matter if I liked 7 or 8 or 9 more than 2 or 3? Different strokes for different folks, because I liked things from FFVII doesn't mean I want to see ideas from it make its way into FFXIV. I would much rather see a Midgar Online or something like that, but that is going into a whole new level of nerdom that I won't touch today.
