I don't have an issue with PLing. It's better than sharing a camp with a bunch of RMT/BOTs.(oh, and their names give themselves away so bad!)

This let this idea burn in the deepest depths of hell.
It isn't just an unnecessary timesink, it's one of the most repetitive and counter-intuitive designs around in the game world today.
If you think people level too fast I think the much wiser approach would be to lobby for a slower/ far more equalized leveling experience.

Can people stop trying to make this like FFXI ;/. Sure FFXI was a good game and we play FFXIV because of the nostalgic feeling we get when we play but I want a different game at the end of everything. Please, stop bringing up all of these old FFXI concepts ;/
Nothing deters power leveling. And who wants to sit in uldah watching 50 whms botting to raise their buff skills? I dont. Its a flawed system, which is why we got rid of it. Why in the world would you make ppl grind twice. If I'm X level I should be good for content outside of gear. Making me sit there and get my weapon skill x level, which might be hard to do in groups with blms burning everything down in 3 seconds is just lame. It only worked in XI because fights lasted a LOT longer. Doesn't work in a system like this without a lot of solo grinding and botting in town. And I really don't want to encourage moar botting.Initially the job/class xp was the "skill" because you had physical level. Now physical level is gone and your job/class is your level, but there's no skill level. I really want to see them bring it back. It prevents/deters powerleveling because who wants a 50whm with a healing skill of 30? Or a level 50 warrior that has no skill in ax. Then weapon skills would be related to skill level, not physical level, and abilities could be left to physical level. I realize that what we have now is hacked together due to massive changes in design, but I really hope this is addressed when things get revamped. Anyone else feel this way or am i alone?
As far as PLing goes, all you have to do is get a WHM to heal your party while you fight mobs way above your level. Thats how ppl got PLed in XI and it worked just fine. Powerlevelling has been around since the dark ages, there's no way to discourage it outside of not making it possible.


There's no reason to bring in skill-ups, we already get abilities and weapon skills while we level up so already everyone knows THAT is out of the question!
I do purpose they do something about my melding! I want to get better, will I have to skill that up or just level up my craft?!
