Why Does Yoshida Still Avoid using Offcial Sources to spread info, Also Relics

Mr.Happy Covered an Update in a Magazine about relics and our feed back.

And it sounds neat, can't wait to see what we have in store. HOWEVER, why wasn't this pushed through official sources like the Twitter or Launcher or Lodestone?

That's a very specific question only Yoshida can answer. He does use the lodestone whenever he feels he needs to address the community directly. An example would be when the housing lottery system was first implemented and it was not working as intended. However, anytime he is interviewed he is going to respond to specific questions and that is the point of them. Exposition such as ShB being initially intended as the 4.0 expansion is something that is neat to know, but it is not something that the community needs to know.

What he mentioned about things like expanded headgear, how it will work for female Hrothgar, and relics are all things that the community will learn about at one point or another. What Yoshida can and cannot say about anything pertaining to the game is dictated at the corporate level. However, how much of what he is allowed to talk about and to whom is his own personal decision.

I don't actually have any thoughts on this besides "I hope the relics are more engaging this time". I just hate it when video makers take forever to get to the point and can't even provide the source on the thing they're reacting to in their description.

Which is what he said he would do in his video. That he would give a link to those posts. I'm not sure if he knew there was a digital version of the magazine at the time of recording the video. Or I'm sure he would have linked directly to the digital version of the magazine. As he tends to do with sites that have a translated versions of Dengeki interviews.

Yeah, that's my bad, it blended into the background for me so i missed it and just saw all the other merch links instead. kudos to him because a lot of people don't do this and it pisses me off.

Is this just me being cynical or does that part about hats on the limited races read like it falls somewhere between "we gave up retrofitting old hats, we'll recycle them and make similarish models available that way, though" and "we gave up on old hats, but we'll add new hats which will work on all races (by giving everyone the hyur model if we're feeling lazy)"?
To "increase variations" could mean anything from "new hats" to "adding variations to old models" I suppose and is exactly the vague wishy-washy response I've come to dislike.

Pretty much the only pieces of actual information I can glean from the article are relics are not going to be exactly the same implementation and the Island Sanctuary will "get updates based on player feedback", which again could mean anything from tweaking exp thresholds to actual new features.

There's no info in there to spread so I can see why they haven't made a lodestone announcement about it or anything, it's just the same information that is already on the DT page rehashed as an interview with some vague marketing speech thrown in there that tells us nothing substantial.

My whole issue is that, Yoshida doesn't put Any, of his interviews out via any official accounts or on official places. I get what people are saying, but that lack of interaction is still an issue and this is one of the few ways can know what hes thinking and how he feels. And if he's gonna ask us to use the forums for feed back, we need to know all of these things, we can then aid in being more confident and concise in what we say and it can lead to a better products, especially since this interview screamed *this is me saying and showing I read the official forums*.

I think he doesn't do it because when they were relaunching the game they spoke to us a lot here. I mean a lot, we had actual conversations with reps all the time. But he also told us about a lot of content that either changed drastically from what we were told (like housing),. or just never made it into the game (like roaming primals that could be captured), which angered a lot of legacy players who were looking forward to them. I think that is also why he is so hesitant to talk a lot about anything before it is close enough to being done that it will definately be implemented.

I just really hope when he says that there will be multiple avenues for making the DT ones, that it doesn't mean just more fate grinding again. It likely not only is, but also it will likely be the most effiencient way to do it yet again, but man would I love fates to just not be a part of it in any way for once. I would much rather run the old dungeons that never seem to pop in roulettes anymore or make use of coil or something. Utilize the things or use the dungeons we don't normally get to do anymore.
