I don't really like the Road to 80 buff. I'm sure a ton of folks appreciate it when they create a character on a Data Center that provides it, and I get it: the massive experience boost does the job of speeding up new players so they can reach the latest expansion and catch up with the veterans very well, and of course it aids the grinding of alts.

HOWEVER, I don't like it because the boost is just far too much for my preference. As a new player myself (despite my account's age), I'm not ready to go straight to the end; I want to enjoy the beginning and middle of the game, take my time, and make the most of the abilities, equipment etc that's granted unto me before I move on to the higher tiers. The permanent experience rate increase prevents me from doing so, and I feel like I'm in such a rush to reach level 80 that even trying to split the given experience between various jobs doesn't feel enough.
I may be in the minority here when I say that I genuinely enjoy the grind - I've played OldSchool RuneScape for years and the grinding in that MMO was where I got most of my mileage; playing Final Fantasy XIV with Road to 80 gives me the very opposite of that feeling, and I do not want to have to pay real world money just to move this character to another Data Center just to remove it.

That brings me to the main point of this thread: I want there to be a way to easily - whether temporarily or permanently - get rid of Road to 80 (and Road to 90 come Dawntrail) so that players like me may choose to take their time slowly walking through A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, and so on, instead of running through it all and gaining constant levels every few minutes.
