What chaotic system?>People banding together to make general community guidelines in a chaotic system to try and get as many people as possible to a world boss
"NOOOOO U DONT OWN THE HUNT YOU CAN'T MAKE RULES!!!! STOB!!"
>People suggest making the non level capped hunts live longer so more people can make it to the world boss at a base level without the need for community intervention
"NOOOO GO SPAWN IT YOURSELF STOB BEING SO ENTITLED NOOOOOO!!!"
:T
Honestly really goofy, Buffing hunts HP in some way or making them live longer in general is an idea that got bounced around so much by disgruntled people that the idea of slapping the fate system on to them made it to Yoshi-p iirc, and the response was just that it was too much work to go back and make those changes to fit the mobs into the fate system, not to mention that they wanted to keep the spawn requirements. Which is all pretty understandable and fair.
But there's more ways than a fate system to make an enemy generally beefier, and starts of expansions are always the perfect time to experiment with systems that haven't seen big QoL changes in forever.

It happens enough with the older expansion hunts that I hear it every "S rank spawn day". I know there's a few in ARR that spawn no matter what so I'm not counting those. We haven't had too much issue recently, but there was at one point some people grabbing the S rank the moment it popped and not allowing people to get there in time. People don't own the hunt mark, but the normal thing people agree on is whoever spawned it chooses the pull time. How often does that actually happen when the spawner is paying attention and focusing on getting to the S rank?
The last time I missed out on killing something I spawned was because I chose to answer questions from someone new to hunts rather worry about what was happening to the S rank. I missed out on kills on maybe two other occasions since I started spawning around 4.4. Sure, I've gotten to the S rank on a few occasions where someone had already pulled but I was still able to get my hits in for credit.
The extremely rare occasions I've heard spawners complaining they missed out, they've admitted they missed out because they allowed themselves to get distracted by something (that was usually outside of game).
I don't deny that it has happened. I will disagree that it happens as often as some make it sound.
I'm honestly not trying to disagree with you with some of your comments, I agree with some. I just think that it's annoying when a system can be abused just because of a few bad eggs.
Tangential to making the Hunt more fun, I'd like to suggest how I would reduce a majority of frustration (and by extension, harassment) involving S and SS ranks.
While not against ToS, the friction is caused by a minority of early/instant or accidental pullers appearing before a reasonable amount of time has passed to account for world-hopping congestion.
I'm not interested in a discussion about what is and how to deal with it, but what could be:
I believe if S and SS ranks spawned with a 5-min Invincibility buff it would act as a built-in pull timer and account for the early puller vs congestion conflict.
The 5 minute duration (the length can be debated) or nature of the buff (could be 90% mitigation) is arbitrary to me so long as a majority of people are able to strike the elite mob even should an instant-puller act.
Currently the hunt trains doing just fine. They got poachers here and there but the op just whining cause they couldn't get to a mark in time. Join discord and linkshells and ya good

To be fair, the hunt mounts are not particularly great mounts. It's more like a thing for a collector and masochist to aim for given how many hunts someone has to do.

I said it before and i'll say it again. Discord was a mistake.
*goes back into cryostasis*
That's fair.
Tiger is alright but def underwhelming for the work to get it.
The triceratop from shb is amazing in every way and I use it all the time! He's the one outlier.
Viktor from ew is one of my least favorite mounts. It's tiny and ugly.
I'm also glad you said collector first. I like to think I'm not a masochist![]()
Also the faster they get killed, the faster they can spawn again. Especially A ranks. And if the trains wouldn't always wait untill all A ranks are up again, they could be killed one or two times more a day.
If most players didn't see a single kill as a waste of their time, they would be.
Why are some trains short an A rank or two? Because there were a few players who didn't see that single hunt as a waste of their time. Of course, that leaves those who wanted them all complaining that someone "stole" their hunt.
I think for players who like the hunting aspect instead of just the leeching aspect it isn't a waste of time. But I also think there aren't that much players anymore that are there truly for the hunting activity itself. If most players didn't see a single kill as a waste of their time, they would be.

Just read about the physical data center travel. I guess people want to have a 10 or 15 minute invulnerability buff for S ranks then because of the longer travel times.
