"You sense the presence of an extremely powerful mark..."
"... the power of the mark has synced your level to its own."
Done deal. This could be woven into any patch if they actually cared to do it.

As someone who knows someone who constantly do hunt trains and knows the enemies.
Well, there's no changes you can make. Base game and each expac has the A, S and double S set at max level for said base game or expac.
Till a certain expac can you solo. Beyond that tho you really can't and will laughably die. The only thing you can do is run with the trains or be in the discords/linkshells so you can get the mark.
Otherwise people need to stop crying.
I bet people would come too late and complain even if S ranks would always spawn at fix times every day.
Just realized you are asking the devs to rework all S and double S and turn them basically into fates like ixion and behemoth are. It's a terrible idea considering mounts are locked in such a limited resource - (rare S-rank marks).
Here's how you fix it:
1. Sync it within the radius of the hunt mark like a notorious monster. If the hunt is 50, turn everyone into level 45 or something.
2. Scale it. The more people in the area, the bulkier it is.
That should fix the god-awful hunt-sharing. Even if someone pulls it upon spawn, there should be enough time to get to it despite the godawful server transfer queues.
Probably never gonna change but that's my two cents on it anyway.
That would be alot of work amd each S and double S have unique spawn conditions.
Good in theory but devs won't do it
The Hunt is really is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to systems that were introduced early on then barely tweaked over the years that followed.
At minimum I'd want a way to check if a S rank is on cooldown or in its active spawn window so I don't have waste time shooting blind for spawn attempts if it got picked off by randoms at some point.

Since game doesn't give any.. idk if u're aware, but there is a Faloop tracker.

Mao thinkings is not much problems with Hunts whats can't be fixed player-side. For A-Rank Hunts Trains, Conductors just need to discourage Cross-World participation to keeps size of trains down to somethings manageable. For S-Rank Hunts, participants just need to be little bits patient. Waitings for minute or two should be doables. Waitings for five minutes is silly. In both cases, having an experienced Conductor to guide participants is big helps. Jojoya is right. Hunts Trains are one of the few activities in FFXIV whats truly multiplayer. Would be big shame if that is lost. Especially because it is player-created content. As Jojoya said, is no biggie if miss a Hunt. Will always be a next one.
They shouldn't be fixed player-side, because the problem here is you create some false sense of authority with the people conducting the train which is already a problem in some spaces... Even then, you do also have the situation of... What players want other players to do and what they will do are 2 entirely different things, especially when it is taking efficiency into account... People aren't going to turn down 240 tomes just because a conductor said so, especially when the game systems permit otherwise.Mao thinkings is not much problems with Hunts whats can't be fixed player-side. This is a general problem with hunts on the community-side, is the assumed level of non-existent authority, versus the reality of just plain and simple courtesy. It should always be viewed as a courtesy rather than a conductor or spawner(s) ultimately holding authority. Like I get it, they spawned it, they tracked it, etc., etc., - This doesn't mean any authority should be placed. At best, just a courtesy to people doing the 'legwork'
On the second point, I don't necessarily think that just because people want hunts to be replaced or reworked, that they are arguing for something with a less multiplayer-oriented experience. In fact, I would even argue that there are far better ways to do it if you want a heavy multiplayer-oriented approach.
