House Auto Demo'd when I've entered Recently

I last entered my house on Feb 23. Today it was missing from my teleport menu and up for lottery. I received no emails or notifications. I'm extremely upset and me and my wife got out dream plot and pours countless hours into the house. There is no way the auto demo timer was correct. I've seen many stories like this and I'm assuming support will do nothing. We are both no seriously considering unsubbing.

Of course they won't do anything. There's never been any absolute concrete proof that any estate timers are bugged/flawed, so it's your word against an automated system. Unless you've got dated screenshots, there's no way for you to validate your claims. Further, there's.. probably no system in the game capable of replacing your house short of rolling back the entire instance/server. And that's just not feasible to satisfy one customer and piss off dozens more.

There's an Estate Timers window for a reason.

Additionally, you make an unclear point about it being your house. If your wife got the dream plot, would it not be her house? As a tenant, you are not capable of resetting estate timers, only the plot owner can do so. Your entering the house would have no effect if it was owned by your wife and she failed to reset the timer herself.

Yeah there were a large amount of people who thought there was some housing timer glitch going on.
SE had to do an investigation and came down and (in more polite words) said people were just bad at knowing when they actually used their house.

So there are indeed many stories about this, but essentially they were all wrong in the end.

Need more information, mainly who owns the house. Since this sounds like a private house, whoever purchased the house and officially owns it has to be the one who resets the timer. They don't operate the same as FC houses where anyone can reset it.

If your wife owned the house and hasn't been in it, she didn't reset the timer.


If you are only a tenant, you cannot reset housing timers.

If it's not a free company house, then only the exact character who wins the lottery and buys the plot is able to reset the auto-demolition timer.

You also have to go inside the building itself. Teleporting to the yard is not enough.

This is the 1st email you will get. You have to enter the house & if it was your wife that got the house, it was up to her to walk into the plot. She would have gotten the emails.
Unless it was an FC plot, residents don't reset the timer

This is like the fifth thread I've seen on this exact issue. At this point, I'm just inclined to give OP the benefit of the doubt. Bugs happen to the best devs, and it's not like CBU3 are some infallible coding gods who never make mistakes. They tried putting a glam dresser in houses and it bricked the game ffs. You guys really wanna go to bat for these devs when the same bug issue threads keep cropping up?
I hope your report goes through, but yeah, odds are they'll just say you messed up somehow or misread a calendar or something. I tell you what though, I enter my house every goddamned day so if this happens to me I'll make the same thread and then immediately cancel my sub because real talk, that house is like 95% of why I'm subbed atm.

On the topic of resetting the timer, is it enough if the owner of a private house enters the interior or do they also need to interact with anything specific in their house?
