Regarding The Crescent Moon Mount

What a missed opportunity! Out of curiosity, what music plays for the mount? I'm bad at identifying songs in game.

I’m not sure the exact name, but a lot of the store mounts have the same music. Which is okay I guess, for things that don’t have a duty associated with them. But the Shadowkeeper not having its Eden raid music is a crime! lol I think I would’ve preferred the Mare Lamentorum music, or even better, the Bestways Burrows music for this. But it’s a freaking crescent moon mount and I love it anyways!

Can confirm the running animation works in gpose… not sure how far off the ground you need to be but I took mine to the mountain summit on my Island because it has the best wide open starry skies on a clear night.

All these comments and a not a single one mentioning the fact that SE pumped out a cash shop mount for Hinamatsuri or Girls' Day instead of making it earnable during the entire in game event that is based around that same Hinamatsuri - Little ladies Day. I honestly don't know what to say about this playerbase.

That's a different topic. This is about whether or not the cash chop mount is working as intended.

As an aside, my belief is Square Enix doesn't owe us emotes/mounts/glam gear each holiday. We pay for the basic game. You know, the MSQ, sidequests, PvP, etc...

Everything beyond that is a gift. I guess what you can say about some of the player base is they suffer from a chronic case of entitlement.

"chronic case of entitlement" is asking yet another desirable mount that is so clearly tied to an in game event isn't earnable in said event and is instead replaced by a lazy reskin of a 1.0 mob? With a line like that I sure hope you're getting paid by SE. Surely you aren't throating them for free.

I'm not asking to be contrary, just genuinely perplexed. The symbols for that are spring and cherry blossoms and it's generally very pink. The moon mount isn't themed like that at all.

It's connected because the mount was released on and in celebration of the IRL festival of LLD. ( Hinamatsuri). You know this was deliberate because it was released on a Sunday. SE chose to "celebrate" by putting out a cash shop mount instead of putting the event mount in the event

There is no entitlement in wanting more unique things that are actually earned by playing the game. I have no idea how some think that wanting to earn rewards in a game instead of buying them on top of our box cost and sub fees is in any way entitled.

And funny thing is, it's not just a 1.0 mob, it was a mount in 1.0 as well. One that they just gave to us for visiting the wandering minstrel who was just hanging out at Red Rooster Stead in La Noscea. The only req was you had to be lvl 30. And it's not the first time they reskinned the mount. There is the other goobbue mount from the Sylph beast tribe questline and the troll mount is just a furry goobbue.

The Crescent Moon mount isn't tied to Little Lady's Day in any way. The chronic case of entitlement lies in thinking that, because Square Enix offered a mount in the cash shop, you are owed a mount for free in exchange in the game. Clear enough?

I think that event is getting its own mount this year.
