    im gonna be honest it looks sooo underwhelming for an artist class. like lost ark managed to pull it off and that games on like unreal 3.

    like u could make us paint anything but we're painting rocks and lightning bolts like a low lvl red mage or something. the moogle thing just looks like the same as smn using garuda or something.

    the gearset looked underwhelming.., the "splash" effects were cool.., hope the animations stil look good, when we turn down the visual SFX (as we mostly do).., hope the animations still feel / look good without the SFX on (imo the other casters & melee dps have great animations.
    .. only Blu has some underwhelming, hope Picto feels better and bigger budget than Blu

    Real talk, have they ever changed an animation after they’ve shown it?

    Not saying it can’t change, but I don’t imagine they showed us unfinished animation.

    Whilst it could be seen as a different scenario, one that sticks out is Dark Knight's original Darkside Aura, first shown in the Hevensward job action trailer:

    HW Job action trailer (Time stamped to Dark Knight)

    As shown, they used to have dark/black flames around the feet which was removed on release. There might be other examples I am unaware of, however, this is one case where an animation has been changed before release. The aura was also large and obnoxious on release, so it was toned down and made a bit dimmer.

    Those are technically not animations, just VFX. To take your Overpower example, the animation is still exactly the same, it's just the "shockwave" effect that was changed from a frontal cone to a circle.

    But the thread name is making the same error since the OP is talking about the underwhelming VFX and not the actual character animations.
    So you're still correct, they could absolutely change the VFX before release.

    It's better to be the squeaky wheel and say something just incase!
    I'd much rather have tried and find out I was just over thinking an issue and everything turned out good regardless.
    - rather than sitting and hoping things turn out well and being disappointed because noone was concerned enough or they listened to those saying "it's too early to tell, just wait!"

    TL;DR
    It's always a good choice to bring it to others attention instead of sitting back, waiting for someone else to do so and nothing being done

    MCH had gotten some VFX and actual character animations added because used to, it was very unimpressive and much of the feedback for MCH was how boring it was (along with performance issues iirc)
