I've seen other threads with similar feedback; but I am very excited for Pictomancer!
However, the in-game reveal was underwhelming.
I'M SPECIFICALLY TALKING ABOUT THE VFX (visual effects)! (thank you to user Absurdity<3)
In the cinematic, we see Krile painting with magic; it's gorgeous & hyping up the class- there are sparkles, particles, everything to make this a whimsical caster.
What we saw in the DT cinematic compared to the Pictomancer in game reveal, almost made it feel like two separate jobs we were shown. It was very underwhelming to me; anyone else feel this way?
In-game reveal, The paint is very cartoony or paper mache almost- it doesn't have the same prismatic effect we see in the trailer. It does have the paint brush strokes, but lacks the "magic" feel from the cinematic. It's very flat. It looks unfinished- it looks downgraded.
The in-game VFX feedback: The ice looks like Playstation 1 graphics; not paint nor ice.
Paint animations are very flat & lackluster- hardly anything remotely close to what we saw in the Dawn Trail reveal.
I think really, the in-game VFX need to reflect more of what we saw in the DT cinematic. Painted butterflies, particles & light-magic painting. Do we paint our own Spriggan out of air like Krile?
Krile uses pastels, they all glow- I just hope what was revealed isn't the final product.
Screen of Krile, holding paint brush and the paint on the brush is glowing.
Pretty VFX from Pictomancer in cinematic
You can see the brush strokes and the paint effects as well as particles, it looks magical

Screen of in-game Pictomancer, lacking the same appealing visuals (VFX) from trailer.
ICE- (?) It doesn't really look like ice, or magic or paint
