Revisit Old Challenges

During my exploits in the lands of Eorzea I often have to engage in grueling and dangerous battles (or parlays). After succeeding in them I sometimes think back and wonder if it is possible to have won in another way. With a different strategy, group of people, or job.

I am wondering if it is possible to re-do battles that have been won. I would imagine it would not be too hard to make this possible (the tough part about creating the battles and mobs is already done). So having an ability to 'revisit' or 'replay' the battle would certainly generate a lot of 'content', and the ability to have some additional 'fun'.

I would like to see the journal in the inn expanded to allow entire pieces of content to be revisited, such as battles and conversations. What we can revisit in our journals at the moment is very limited Being journal based may get in the way of party play though, like certain un-soloable battles. Still, I would love to be able to get back to some of those things I has to skip through in the past... Conversations and cutscenes are often skipped when in parties for example, especially the former which can take far too long to get through at times, and the quest log journal (the one in the main menu, not the one in the inn) doesn't go into very much detail at all. Maybe the two journals could be combined..? That would get flashbacks out of the inn and out to your party at least. I don't know, I'm just rambling things off the top of my head, but I really just want to be able to re-access that sort of thing without having to redo it all (and any prerequisites like getting all classes to level 50) on a mule or the like just to be able to access a two minute piece of content I've already done.
