FC house abuse

Many people have FC houses and only 1-10 members. They are often people that want to get rich fast or just want to make sure they can activate FC actions that benefit raiding purposes. However with current housing shortage this proves to be annoying for most.

So please add a timer system that calculates activity within the FC so the workshop becomes locked by default if less then 10 FC members log in daily. This way abusers with 7 alts would still become unable to scam their way around it and they would be forced to recruit members (members that would leave again once they realise its not a real/active FC).

Hopefully this should convince workshop abusers to give up on their fantasy and let the property be handled by actual FC's that want to make an effort for an actual community instead of their own alts...

What a great idea. I'll be sure to tell my old FC mates that their FC, est. 09/2013, that now have dwindled down to maybe 9 active members and close friends who can't log on every single day due to reality, that their time has come.

BTW, being on Chaos, there isn't really a housing shortage due to FCs.

Why would your friends be upset that they lose access to the workshop when their FC isn't even active? Sorry but it sounds to me that your friends might be exactly the people I refer to in the original post xD
And ofcourse it could be easily mended by recruiting a few active players. Can't be too hard to recruit 9 more people. Unless ofcourse your friends leader doesn't want to and just wants the workshop...

I've just read a post of someone who's participated in the lottery 75 times and still didn't get a house... I wouldn't just claim there isn't a housing shortage... especially for the medium and large houses which is virtually impossible to get nowadays...
Simply because often they are owned by 1-10 player FC's who don't really need something bigger then a cottage. but the issue is that active FC's need a house but just as much people use them as private which kinda doesn't make sense since why else do we have housing for private use and housing for FC use if the people who own the house do not care about building an actual FC community which in my opinion should never be smaller then 20 people, otherwise its just a private house with unfair benefits. Benefits actual FC's require to help convince people to join and try out communities.

There should be a hierarchy to things where in a lottery someone owning an active enough FC should always get priority on a lottery provided they get a choice to choose "buy for FC" when they enter a lottery.

People take breaks because life is busy, wait for content, go on vacations, work trips ect.
Don't go punishing people that play games in a healthy amount of time.

There is no wrong way to use a house. if you are entering it atleast once every 45 days you deserve it just as much as a 512 member fc that is always online.

Inviting a bunch of randoms sure sounds like a great "community". I personally try to avoid people like you which would be rather impossible by just mass recruiting, which you suggested, and subconsciously already proofs your idea is dumb af if you yourself already come up with solutions like that while writing your supposed "solution".

Sure. Make a way to give someone an advantage or priority for winning plots. It's not like those rules apply to everyone and nothing would be easier than for me to make 8 characters on a world i dont play on and help some friends with similar interests get that plot they want.

It's been fairer than ever to win a house, this is what people wanted and this is what people got.
Just like people whining about autodemo (also implemented by the community asking do) forcing them to keep subbed because its "Impossible" to win a house now.

I've won plots by lottery, with the old system, against placard bots and by buying them from other people. It's never been impossible.

Move to a less populated server and start your Fcs there. There's a reason square creates them.

having the game do a check (total members more than 7, every character more than 7 days in fc) to enable the workshop functions for up to 24hrs until daily reset, would be quite interesting change to slow down the hoarding sprawl each time new wards get added.
If you are just 4 close friends, just ask friends to put alts in the fc and it's set. No negative impact on yours fc.

Housing is like a Klondike. If you're late to the party, sorry but all good spots are taken and in SE's terms, it works as intended.
I want to be optimistic but by judging by past, they don't see it as important right now for Dawn Trail. Or, they are preparing another overhaul - who knows?

True, there are some wards on new worlds that are waiting to be opened in the future but if the luck won't work in your favor or anyone from small fc of friends, be prepared to deal with having small or not having any. At least you can unsubscribe for any time you want.

Why would you need more than is required to even create a FC and purchase a FC house in order to keep that FC's workshop?

Big established fcs already have a house because they have the bidding power to do so. If you can't get a mansion or a medium as a free company with 20+ members, either your leadership and organisation skills are terrible or your fc isn't as active as you think. 20 people with their alts can manage a maximum of 160 bids and you're saying they are unable to win against a small family fc or a solo submariner? Please.
