What I do see too much of is Doton on single-target bosses.

That's because it used to be slightly better to use it on a single target (I think by a single DoT tick). It seems that SE fixed that oversight.

I've seen tanks do that occasionally. Rare, but amongst my thousands of dungeon runs, I've seen it multiple times.

I think this is because tank stances are pretty confusing, most people aren't going to know what enmity means, but yeah I've seen it a couple of times myself... But i've seen things like level 90 Gladitors so I'm used to seeing wild things in ff14.

Yeah some people just miss core class features, to me a ninja not using mudras is pretty much the same complaint as healers not using damage (which i see so often) or a tank not using mitigations.

Somepeople are learning which is fine, I'd find it concerning if a ninja wasn't using murda's at 90 dungeons or later ones though. Although i don't think id say anything just incase because y'know its ff14 lol.

I see them using mudras all the time. I saw people dumping doton on single targets so much that I made my search info a PSA telling people not to do that.

As an avid casual NIN enjoyer, it comes down to muscle memory & proper hotbar setup. I set my Ninjutsu, Ten, Chi, & Jin hotkeys side by side and imagine them as "1 2 3 4". After that I memorize the mudras order as the following:

2 3 1 = Raiton
3 2 1 = Katon
2 4 1 = Hyoton
2 3 4 1 = Suiton
2 4 3 1 = Doton
4 3 2 1 = Huton

Once you remember, you'll never fail any inputs anymore.

What's so hard about hitting numbers in sequence? I play Ninja once in a blue moon and even I know to use my mudras. Hell, I almost have my hotbar setup like that except my Ten, Chi, & Jin keys are after the main combo.

Hell, worse comes to worse, just macro the thing(s) so you aren't missing out on your job's core identifying mechanic. /joke

There are two unskippable NIN quests whose literal sole purpose is to teach you to use ninjutsu.

They could do a better job at explaining how dots potency is calculated, then people might stop doing single target dotons
Also a complete NIN leveling rework, the way the kit is assembled is absolute garbage.
You go from 1-2-3 spam for the first 40 levels and suddenly boom like 5 Mudras (including one that is completely useless until like 30 more levels) and trick attack suddenly usable in the span of a few levels.

In all my 12+ years playing XIV I've never seen a Lv40+ NIN that doesn't use their Mudras.

I do see them using single target doton a lot however. Which is annoying enough.

NIN are like MNK, you see one once every full moon or so.

They are garbage outdated classes, so barely no one plays them
