The game meets my needs. It meets the needs of my friends. That's why we're all still playing it. It may not meet all of our wants, but that's okay. Nothing is perfect.

The game apparently doesn't meet your needs. Why do you keep chewing on the boot you hate instead of chewing on one you like?

Also, I can't find any results for that saying on Google. Did you just make it up on the spot? Only a fool thinks that a corporation can meet the needs of all people. Not everyone has the same needs.

And Historically catering to casual players ends up with bad games. So again, hows that boot taste?

That's so false I wonder where you're pulling that information from. The most successful games have always been friendly to casual players.

Another situation of what is bad to you is good to others. It's entirely subjective.

You can keep throwing feeble insults at me if you want. I'll go make some popcorn.

Now I'm curious what metric you are basing that statement on because if "bad" means "commercially unsuccessful" the opposite seems to be true.
A good chunk of commercially successful games cater to casual players.
If "bad" in that context simply means "not to your taste" that may be true but irrelevant to everyone except yourself.

ngl, I miss Wildstar. For all the "wrong" reasons. Their housing was something else and I liked the wacky world.

FFXIV is the most casual friendly sub MMO out there for the most part. Albeit, with the DC travel that might change a bit due to Aether and other savage raider servers sort of setting the tone now. Generally, the problem areas FFXIV has are sort of the same as with other MMOs. Extremely strict content that requires a lot of precision to complete generally is bad for long form experiences because of building frustration: Either someone gets frustrated by lack of progress in PF, or in statics the habits and social quirks jade on people as they grind out fights and people shuffle between different statics. And then most other types of content at end game end up to be grinds that never end or take forever.

I'd say the community of FFXIV generally starts having social health issues after the first year of an expansion and generally from those who have been through one too many grinds.

While I don't think XIV is in imminent trouble (like WoW was by the end of their BfA expansion), I really wonder how long it will last if it remains leaning on the same formula beyond Dawntrail.

I'm reserving judgement for when the expansion is out, but I don't think I'll last another expansion with the same issues from Endwalker. I'll probably just buy for the story and then quit until it's 7.55 and resub again for a month to finish the storyline without interruptions.
