So the context is a little self explanatory but if requested I can explain in detail.

Given the way the game currently works right now using stb/shb and ew as a point of reference. And what we've seen on dawntrail thus far. Do you personally think the game is in trouble or in danger of failing/deing due to it.

What do you predict will happen to 14 in 3 or 5 years. Do you think it can change? Or will. Do you think the games health is impacting the mogstation too?

What could the devs do to improve the game? Or are people blowing things out the water? I'd love to hear your thoughts

I’d say the game has peaked (population and content quality wise) but it will be a long long time before the game is any real danger

I disagree on population, I think the game is going to grow more with Dawntrail at least.

It'll balloon for a while at the expansion's launch, as people whose subscriptions have lapsed come back to see what's going on. Then some of them will lapse again and it'll level off. Happens every expac.

The game doesn't have a WoW exodus, pandemic, 10 year of story telling coming to a climax and streamer hype to piggyback off of this time.

Does it need to? The late ShB/early EW boost was massive, but you don't need massive boost every time to maintain stable growth. There won't be huge explosion in new players, that I'm sure, but there will be enough coming that the overall is still a net positive and that's enough.

Yep, also, a lot of the people who came here from WoW hyped it up as something it couldn't be and wasn't. And for the ones who stayed, a lot, if not most of them are burn outs from WoW that no ones there wanted to deal with anyways.

All of ShB was Covid and WoW exodus hype, and Early EW was the last of that hype dying out when all of those people couldn't clear past tier 2 of pandemonium.

Stormblood, an arguably better game then WoW at the point in time and a better XIV expansion had a longer retention rate.

As for your revised post, what’s the point of rehashing the same tired topics over and over? All it does is make it hard to remember which thread was which.
