    high latency issues after xbox open beta. EU

    Is anyone experiencing huge lag recently ? Im playing on EU (Chaos) and my internet connection is MORE than fine and every other online game works fine but FF14. The issue is both on my PC and PS5. I don't know whether its an issue with SE or my ISP. I will probably make a phone call tomorrow to verify. If anyone else is also experiencing the same issue please let us know thanks !

    UPDATE

    I remembered an old case where the exact thing happened and it ended up being a problem on SE side. Here's the link to the that forum

    I have traced all the chaos IP's from here https://is.xivup.com/adv and they all looked similar to this

    You are not alone, I have this problem since yesterday evening - did a tracer myself and it looks like this:

    So whatever those twelve99.net things are, I suppose the problems are on them.

    Twelve99.net is also known as Telia. And Telia and DTAG had never a good relationship. There were constant issues between the two carriers.

    For context, I am based in Germany, so I am in the same country as the datacentre.. I normally ping 11 to 12ms on the daily! Ping to primal in the US is a steady 162ms!!

    Every other game works fine, ISP checks out, speed tests are fine.. Even ping Genshin Impact, also WoW and other MMO servers, all fine!

    Well, given that I can't change the provider for the time being, I suppose I have to just wait it out then.

    Edit: Yeah, also based in germany and apparently my ping to even the NA servers would be better right now.

    Glad im not the only one. I have contacted SE through their customer support, i encourage everyone to do so too. Hopefully its fixed soon

    I am also having lag issues with only FF XIV. Playing on EU (Light). Always around 8-9pm, I am also based in germany. SE should be aware of this, really hope they're able to fix it soon. Thanks for opening this thread, I am not alone anymore

    Again please make sure you contact the Square enix EU support center (https://support.eu.square-enix.com/m...p?id=5383&la=2) here is the link. Its frustrating that we're paying for a subscription and can't play the game. I am baffled why no moderator at least replied to this forum honestly or the other forum that's addressing the same issue.

    The problem is, they cannot fix it. It's a situation between Deutsche Telekom and Twelve99.net/TeliaSonera.
