WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH BLU?

I know in Dawntrail, later in 7.x, Blu will level up to 90 along with obtaining new spells, new achievements, new MC levels, etc. Same old, same old.

I don't know if SE can do anymore with BLU besides keep adding spells that we have to get via dungeons, trials, etc.

I think SE missed the mark a long time ago by not allowing BLU to be used with the Squadrons; allowing it to be soluble in POTD.

One part of me wants SE to allow us to add an additional 8 spells to the Hotbar & the other part of me wants them to just scrap it & just make Blu a normal job. Keep the limited Blu around to keep Beastmaster company.

What are your thoughts about BLU!

I think it's fine and enjoyable how it is.
And Beastmaster will be a welcome addition to the limited job funpack they entail.

Waste of resources on my opinion. As OP says, they eould have value if they could do more than just dungeons/raids.

Nothing haven't used it for couple years now. I never really cared about a limited job class. I will use Beast Master because I played as one in FFXI. Maybe give BLU the ability to play the blues.

Better question would be what the point of these limited jobs is.
They serve no purpose besides speeding up old mindless fate grinds to get a bunch of ugly glowing weapons.
Grinds that you would have already been done with if you just did them with a regular job instead of levelling a limited job and getting the appropriate spells to do it.

BLU will keep getting access to the prior expansion's raids and spells and that will keep it going.

If you expect something more out of BLU, or better from Beast Master, don't.

They're just collect-a-thon novelties.

BLU is fine as it is and I really hope SE never takes any consideration to requests that ask for BLU to be streamlined so its no longer a limited class. Those request call for nothing but straight up killing the job.

If there's anything they should do, it should be to expand the Masked Carnivale with challenges that reward Centurio Seals or, come the level 90 cap, Kupo Nuts even. If previous Hunt coins are any indication, there should be a new Hunt currency coming with the new expansion, which leaves us with 2 obsolete Hunt coins that Blue Mages could potentially include in their rewards.
