Thread: Request: 2.0 Character Creation option, Left Handed.

I can see this as an issue if it was a first person game, but for this case, I don't think it should matter. Honestly, if they switched all characters to left handed, most people probably wouldn't even notice.

In any case, just because you can summarize an action into one word (i.e. mirror), doesn't make it that much easier. It's like saying "you could climb, rappel, hike, and camp up Mount Everest... but it would be much easier if you just walk up it"

But, yeah, if it makes people comfortable and it doesn't end up hurting the game in some unforseen way, why not?

I am going to purposely bump this thread. Just because I was about to make my own.

Being a lefty, I'd really like a lefty option. I don't know what it is exactly...it must be a lefty thing. Righty's never seem to mind when a character is a lefty (ex: Link...one of my friends didn't even notice that he is a lefty for a while).

But every lefty I know is extremely aware of what hand people are more comfortable with. Myself included. When I was younger one of the things that strongly connected me with Link was the fact that he was the only lefty character (and at the time the only lefty person) I knew. And it felt great. (Later I found out a couple people in my family were left handed, but forced to go right handed. D: ) Playing as a right handed character really hurts my brain for some reason. (Though, Lancers/Dragoons in XIV hold their weapon lefty-style. ;p)


So. Yeah. Lefty option please! OR let us use either hand when equipping a weapon..for instance...no off hand. Just have two slots. Left hand and right hand. Let us put the weapon in either one. And put the shield, etc. in the other.

Even tho I'm not lefty but I think this is pretty good idea, support!
