Actually that's what Nintendo did when Twilight princess was brought out on the wii because link is really left handed except in the original because he's ambidextrous and of the legend that you must always keep your shield facing death mountain. Reason they flipped it for the wii was because most of the earth's population (which this is what nintendo said if I need to i'll find some quotation on it) was right handed.

Yeah all they would do is mirror it probably would take up a lot more memory and coding spacing though because everyone would have to have it.

I am going to purposely bump this thread. Just because I was about to make my own.

Being a lefty, I'd really like a lefty option. I don't know what it is exactly...it must be a lefty thing. Righty's never seem to mind when a character is a lefty (ex: Link...one of my friends didn't even notice that he is a lefty for a while).

But every lefty I know is extremely aware of what hand people are more comfortable with. Myself included. When I was younger one of the things that strongly connected me with Link was the fact that he was the only lefty character (and at the time the only lefty person) I knew. And it felt great. (Later I found out a couple people in my family were left handed, but forced to go right handed. D: ) Playing as a right handed character really hurts my brain for some reason. (Though, Lancers/Dragoons in XIV hold their weapon lefty-style. ;p)


So. Yeah. Lefty option please! OR let us use either hand when equipping a weapon..for instance...no off hand. Just have two slots. Left hand and right hand. Let us put the weapon in either one. And put the shield, etc. in the other.
