    Content suggestion

Hello everyone, I recently started playing Final Fantasy XIV, and I know a bit about the lore of the Final Fantasy series in general up to X. It's undoubtedly a fantastic game, and the best MMORPG community I've ever encountered, you guys are fantastic.

I'll leave my suggestion here, I'm not sure how Square operates the forum and if this type of suggestion is valid, so please feel free to add or say, "Oh, this already exists, you'll see it later."

I'm a big fan of FF VI and I noticed that in FF XIV we have the Primals, known in VI as Espers. I really liked how they were treated in FF XIV, and it would be fantastic to have some content, whether it's an expansion, patch, etc., where we get to explore the world of Primals, based on what already exists in FF VI. I think there's a huge potential to explore online, introducing new Espers/Primals like Maduin and others. Two classes that could emerge from this exploration could be the Geomancer and the Beastmaster. It would be a great challenge, and really cool to see this online!

Thanks everyone, and happy gaming to all!

unfortunately there is no "world of the primals" in XIV lore. Primals are summoned out of the aether. After they are defeated their aether is returned to the land.

Also this thread does not belong in this category. It should be in the General Discussion forum.

I could be getting my wires crossed, but if I recall in ARR the Scions give a PowerPoint presentation explaining that the souls of Primals (which comprise some of their aether) don't return to the land, but exist in another sort of plane between summonings. I can visualize the scene in my mind, but I'm not having any luck figuring out which one it is so I can rewatch it and verify the concepts.

Nitpicks aside, there's definitely no "world of Primals" in FF14. And that will become especially clear with some of the plot points in Heavensward's MSQ as well as the Eden raids.

^This. Unfortunately Primals (as in, proper summons) here in FFXIV are just ideas given form through aether and belief (
via a bastardization of Ancient creation magic
) - they're not gods or actual living creatures, but basically magical constructs with a pseudo personality framed by a directive to crave aether and devotion.

So alas, there is no 'land of the summon monsters' here - the closest is beast tribe areas that have been tempered to a revelant summon reflect that summon's fundamental element, but there is no combined location for them all.

As for Geomancer and Beastmaster, Geomancer is already in the story as just what the Far East (aka, Doma) calls CNJ (with a little bit of AST thrown in), so CNJ is already basically GEO. And Beastmaster is actually coming in Dawntrail as the second 'Limited' Job, although nothing really is known how it will play as. But it is coming.
